Interaction with guests
When you arrive I will give you your keys and show you into the cottage. Whilst staying you are welcome to knock on our back door and you will be given my contact numbers. I am always happy to give you my personal favourite recommendations for activities or places to eat and drink. There is also a guestbook in the cottage where previous guests have recommended their favourites. The cottage is totally independent to our residence although as this is our permanent residence you might encounter us very occasionally.

About the neighbourhood
Kings Hyde Cottage is nestled in an ideal setting where you can walk down the drive and within a minute you are walking down a lane directly into the Open Forest (wellies are required in the wetter months) walking with the local wildlife. From here you can walk to The Filly Inn and the Hobler pub. The cottage is only a couple of miles from the Georgian Sailing town of Lymington, with it’s Saturday market, Marinas, supermarket, museum, pubs and fine dining establishments. Sway village, is 2 miles away with an amazing butcher, post office, general store and railway station with direct links to Waterloo Station. The many activities and attractions the New Forest National Park offers are all within a short distance of the cottage. A little fu
Getting around
The cottage is in a peaceful country surrounding with Local pubs within a 15-20 minute walk. (Walking instructions in the cottage) The New Forest is an excellent place for walking and the open forest is a 2 minute walk away and from here you can explore the local wildlife. The nearest bus stop is 0.9 miles from the cottage. A number of my guests have arrived by train and either walk, cycle or use local taxis while at the cottage.
