Take a step inside and enjoy the luxurious and stylish interior! Designed with style and your comfort in mind - it's so much more than a holiday home - it's a real home from home! The fabulous open living room has a great hand built country kitchen with granite worksurfaces, pretty painted dining table seating 8 - placed in front of the french doors to make the most of the view of the windmill on the hill behind the house. The cosy lounge corner has a full sprung 'Selfridges' leather sofa bed and a lovely deep, comfortable 'Arighi Bianci' cord sofa - perfect for curling up on in front of the toasty log burning stove on those chill low season evenings! Quality bedding, linen and towels make a good night's sleep guaranteed!Outside be wowed by the grounds, from a secluded terrace with permenant barbecue to a fabulous pergola, perfectly placed to catch both the view and shade. While away an hour or so dozing on the day bed or enjoy a glass of wine as the sunset approaches! With over 6.5 acres of grounds, there's something for everyone - whether it's the great climbing frame or play house for the kiddies or a game of badminton, table tennis or boules for the slightly more mature - and not forgetting a great selection of bikes for all - enjoy the quiet country lanes or picnic up at the windmill! Not forgetting the fabulous 12 x 6 m heated salt water pool - surrounded by terraces and sun loungers for all - the perfect place to relax or play!We love The Bread Oven - it really is a fabulous renovation of an ancient building - but don't take our word for it - here are just a couple of comments some of our recent visitors -'What a wonderful time we had, it was a totally idyllic two weeks' 'The Bread Oven is perfect. We had a truly memorable holiday in a beautiful setting' With exposed stone walls, underfloor heating, log burning stove, shady terraces and luxurious ensuite bedrooms, The Bread Oven at Gigan is perfect for family holidays (all set up for babies and small children) or for a holiday with friends! I have my own house on site. So I (or my lovely house sitters) will be on hand to greet you.... There's a welcome basket and if you would like us to do a shop before you arrive, just ask. We open and close the pool daily for you, keep you up to date with what's happening in the area - just check out the blackboard for each day's weather, markets & more. If you don't need us, that's fine - we have our own pool tucked away behind our house, so you can enjoy complete privacy with the comfort of knowing that we are on hand should you need us!

A very special place for very special holidays! This luxurious 2 bedroom gite offers everything for a great stay. With a fabulous open living space incorporating kitchen, dining and cosy lounge, all opening onto a quiet, shady and secluded terrace. The two luxurious en-suite bedrooms open onto the side terrace. The Bread Oven could be perfect for your holiday - A relaxing country retreat, a great base for a family holiday (just ask if you need equipment for babies & young children - we've got the lot!) or a great holiday destination for a group of friends. With exposed stone walls, hand made terracotta floor tiles, underfloor heating, Jim Lawrence light fittings, hand built kitchen with granite worksurfaces, log burning stove and the very best in furnishings, this really is more than just a holiday home it is a real home from home. As you enter the gite the ceiling of the large living room towers 15ft into the beams of the building and is dominated by a enormous modern chandelier. To one side is the hand built painted country kitchen with granite worksurfaces. In front of the french doors to the rear terrace is a painted Laura Ashley dining table seating 6. The terrace is shaded and private with a circular cast iron and tile table for 6 plus a barbecue for relaxed summer dining. In summer pots of geraniums make this a wonderful spot for outdoor living!. To the other side of the living room is the cosy lounge corner with log burning stove and two large comfy sofas (one a fully sprung sofa bed). There's a TV with UK satellite, DVD player and a bookcase with a good selection of local books, novels, children's books and DVDs. Down a few steps to the two bedrooms - identical in size with thick padded curtains and french doors opening onto the side terrace. Crisp white bedlinen and luxurious bedding make these rooms wonderful relaxing retreats. The en suite shower rooms are fully tiled with underfloor heating and heated towel rails.

About the neighbourhood
Tombeboeuf offers everything you need for day to day life, with a boulangerie, butcher, local shop (selling just about everything), pharmacy and good local restaurant. Just outside the village is a great 9 hole golf course, English owned, and club house - a really relaxing way of spending half a day. To the east of the village is a picturesque lake which is a nature reserve - great for an easy 4km walk or fishing (licences can be bought in the village).Closer to the house is the restored windmill of Coulx - open to the public twice a week and a great walk along quiet lanes from the house - a really great spot for a picnic with the most amazing 360 degree views of the region.Slightly further afield, to the south, is the town of Villeneuve-sur-Lot. This is a traditional bastide town with ...
Getting around
A car really is vital here - nothing is too far away and the roads are good. There are also bikes for more leisurely trips out. The local village is only 4km and has a good shop, butcher, boulangerie & restaurant.
