Six Trees Cottage is one of a group of distinctive rural cottages sitting alongside the eye-catching Tormore distillery and commanding a panoramic view of the Spey valley. The cottage has a spacious sitting room furnished in a modern style with red leather sofas, oak furniture and a wood-burning stove. The large, bright kitchen/dining room is exceptionally well-equipped and with its wide breakfast bar and pine dining furniture makes a real social event of mealtimes. It also has a wonderful view from the double window. A separate utility room houses a washing machine and tumble drier. Nice place to stay, clean, tidy and everything we wanted except wifi which we missed not having. Good central location for visiting Speyside.

I cannot say enough about this home away from home. We were going to stay in Inverness, but were guided to the village area of Granton-on-Spey. We were there for 2 nights - the house has a lovely character and feel; it's very clean/homely. If you are interested in visiting whisky distilleries then this is the perfect place to hang your hat. We have equipped the house to take groups of up to 6 people by providing a combination of beds and sofa- bed to allow flexible sleeping arrangements: for example, the third bedroom, although not large, can have a single, twin or very large double. The full sized sofa bed allows extra sleeping space to suit mixed groups. The seating in the lounge can be amplified by the use of 2 cube stools.

There is a small selection of games, books and DVDS. There is also a folder with leaflets about all the attractions of the surrounding area and some recommendations for restaurants we have enjoyed.

We have equipped the house for our own family to enjoy and all the basics that you need in a holiday home are there - salt, pepper, coffee, tea oil, kitchen towels, bread in the freezer etc . W...

We ask for a 20% deposit up to 8 weeks before your stay and the full amount after that time.
There is a refundable damages deposit of £150, refunded 2 weeks after departure subject to property inspection.

Christmas and Easter week rates - please contact owners

Rental payments can be made by cheque, Paypal or by bank swift transfer ( from Europe) but all charges should be borne by the payer.

We are happy to accept short breaks except in July and August. The short break must be a minimum of 2 nights and a maximum of 4 nights. The price is £80-100 per night depending on the season. For stays of 5-7 nights, the weekly price applies.

The cottage is easily accessible by car on good roads, about 3 hours drive from Edinburgh or Glasgow. There are flights to Inverness airport (40 miles away). There is a train station at Aviemore (25 miles away) which has regular services including, from London, and the Scotrail Caledonian overnight sleeper. Once in the area it is advisable to hire a car because it is the best way to get around . There are car hire companies in Aviemore and at Inverness airport.
