Management response:

Thank you all. After you have visited us I always feel like getting on my bike cycling for miles (coming back with the rosy glow!), then walking into the Forest to view the wildlife and finally having a Forest adventure. You are definitely inspirational and I look forward to welcoming you back.

This was our second visit to what we call " Our bit of heaven" .. and once again it was just that. Welcomed back by Carol and Tony , the owners, we felt like we were coming home. The cottage was a lovely as before with new touches such a new cushions, black out blinds, fresh flowers in the bedrooms.....

Carol and Tony were great hosts and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Gorgeous location on the Scowles above Coleford where we got out provisions. Fantastic bakery -...

Thank you, You were a pleasure to host. Finley was fabulous and you couldn't help but love the dogs. You squeezed a huge amount in plus house hunting. I'd love you as my next door neighbours, fingers crossed!

About the neighbourhood
Badgers End Cottage sits in a tiny lane which ends with a pathway whereby you can walk though an avenue of ancient trees into the nearby town to collect your bread if you wish from the local bakery which is open from 5am onwards! The views are spectacular to the Welsh mountains and the people in the area are friendly and welcoming. You can walk from the cottage into the Forest or down to the local 12C Ostrich Inn which serves real ales, fine wine and terrific food. The area abounds with wildlife and you sleep to the occasional sound of owls hooting, wild boar grunting down the lane and the badgers rustling in the woodland. This is overtaken during the day by peace, tranquility and silence!
