An attractive, extremely well presented three bedroom cottage in an idyllic setting facing onto open forest. A short walk takes you to walking and cycling trails into the beautiful New Forest National Park.

Accommodation comprises open plan living/dining/kitchen, conservatory, further living room with woodburner stove and sofa bed,downstairs double bedroom, bathroom with shower over, upstairs is a double bedroom and a family bedroom with double bed plus a further small double bed, shower room. There is also a childrens wooden cot. This is very adaptable accommodation perfect for larger families or two families sharing. The cottage also benefits from wireless broadband connection.

The property benefits from an enclosed front and back garden with seating ideal for alfresco dining. Parking for 2/3 cars on the driveway.

A lovely, comfortable child friendly cottage with everything needed to have a relaxing holiday, peaceful location with the forest right opposite the front door. Great village with pubs, superb bakery and tea shop. Ideal for Lymington, Lyndhurst and Christchurch by the ferries! Great walks in the forest even on wet, gloomy days.

The house was clean and spacious for the four of us (2 adults & 2 toddlers) kitchen was very well equipped and we did not lack a thing! Location was ideal as there is plenty to do for both young and old! Highlights were naturally the ponies that came to visit; a bike ride through the forest; the motor museum...

We (two couples) stayed at Woodland Cottage for a week in August. The cottage was perfectly located on the edge of Brockenhurst overlooking a heath with an occasional grazing pony and a 15-20 minute walk into the centre and to restaurants/pubs but well away from the busy main road which runs through Brockenhurst. About the neighbourhood
The New Forest lies to the west of Southampton Water in south-west Hampshire and covers 37,677 hectares. Centuries of human management and livestock grazing have meant that the forest is a combination of heathland, ancient woodland, wetlands and grassy plains, with many enclosures of both coniferous and deciduous woodland. The commoners’ ponies and cattle roam freely across the forest, controlling and shaping the vegetation as they graze.

‘New Forest’, or ‘Nova Foresta’, was created by William the Conqueror as a royal hunting ground, and forest laws were enforced to protect the hunted animals and their habitats. These strict laws ensured that the hunting of deer and wild boar remained the closely guarded privilege of the King and his followers.

From the M27 take the Cadnam Exit 1 and at the roundabout take the first exit when reaching the next roundabout take the third exit to Lyndhurst onto the A337. Continue on this road until reaching the traffic lights at Lyndhurst turn left onto the High Street and then turn right into Gosport Road. Bear left onto Clay Hill continue for approximately 2.5 miles and then turn left into Balmer Lawn Road. Continue on Balmer Lawn Road for approximately 1 mile and the property will be found on the right hand side.
