Cotherstone is a popular Teesdale village, with 2 pubs, a village shop, a new children's playground, and lots of friendly people! There is excellent walking country from the doorstep, and we are ideally situated for exploring the wider area, with Durham City, the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Hadrian's Wall country all within an hours drive.<BR><BR>The Cottage offers the following features:<BR>4 bedrooms, sleeps 8: 2 king size doubles and two twins (6 beds in all); All made up with Egyptian cotton sheets and duvets.<BR>2 bathrooms, including a luxury main bathroom with spa bath (for one person - it's not a hot-tub). The second bathroom has a walk-in shower.<BR>Free WiFi.<BR>

The village the cottage is in, is particularly nice. Two pubs - one with lovely evening meals a local shop and a cafe for breakfast if you didn't want to cook it yourself! The cottage is a good size - there were four of us and we were definitely not crowded! The only continuing problem was the head height thru'...

We stayed here the first week of June and had a fantastic time with the whole family. More than enough space for everyone, great surrounds and perfect walks right out from your doorstep with public footpaths all over the village. It was a 5 minute drive to Barnard Castle which has plenty of amenities for eating etc... Very close for...

What a beautiful cottage. We stayed as a family over a rainy wet weekend in November, in this snug cosy cottage, with the craft ale pub next door. I arrived later to my parents and arrived at around 6pm to find my mum merrily cooking away in the brilliantly stocked kitchen. Chris the owner had also left us a cake...

We are ideally situated for exploring the North of England, with Durham City, the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, Hadrian's Wall country and Newcastle all within about an hour's drive.<BR>Bowes Museum, Castles at Raby and Barnard Castle, river and reservoir fishing, fantastic countryside for walking, cycling, running or horse-riding. Barnard Castle is renowned for its many antique shops, and there are also many places to buy and enjoy excellent local food, from traditional tea shops and pubs, to a brand new organic farm shop.<BR>The River Tees at Cotherstone has safe areas to paddle and swim.
