The keys to the apartment are kept in a key safe. Shortly after your arrival Susan will come down to the apartment and check that guests are happy and comfortable. We live in the apartment above with our dog, Rose and respect the privacy of our quests whilst staying in our property. If you need any advice, information or help we are happy to assist. If you decide to visit Ventnor we are sure you will enjoy your time spent here.There is much to see and enjoy on the Isle of Wight, and we wish you a happy and memorable visit. The apartment is absolutely fantastic. A 5 star stay. Beds comfortable, extremely clean and like a home from home. Made to feel very welcome. Even the WiFi was fast. No complaints at all. Thank you for everything.

About the neighbourhood
Ventnor town centre is just a short walk away, approximately 10 minutes down hill, with its local shopping, restaurants & bars and the beach with it's popular Esplanade. St Boniface Down (to the rear of the property) is covered in Holm Oaks, a tree native to the Mediterranean area. The Down rises to 241 metres (791 ft), the Island's highest point. Wildlife is abundant and the scenery is fabulous.
Getting around
Having a car is the most convenient way to travel round the Island, but there are other modes of public transport you can use. The Island has a very good network of buses which run regularly. A train service operates from Ryde to Shanklin. There are links from the mainland to ports on the north side of the Island. These services are provided by Redfunnel, Wightlink & Hovertravel.

Railway: Shanklin : 6.0 km
Ferry: Fishbourne, Yarmouth or East Cowes: 20.0 km
There is no fixed link to the Isle of Wight from the mainland but Red Funnel, Wightlink and Hovertravel are the ferry providers to the Island, running regular services from the mainland Ports.
There are a number of different routes to the Isle of Wight as below.
By Car - Wightlink Ferry: Portsmouth to Fishbone
By Car - Wightlink Ferry: Lymington to Yarmouth
By Car - Red Funnel Ferry: Southampton - East Cowes
On Foot - Hovertravel: Southsea - Ryde
On Foot - Wightlink Catamaran: Portsmouth - Ryde
On Foot - Redfunnel Catamaran: Southampton - Cowes
Once on the Island, and if you're travelling by car head for the south of the island and signs for Ventnor. St Boniface Road is located at the foot of St Boniface Down.
