The house has under floor heating in all rooms, a well-equipped modern breakfast kitchen with access to a side terrace which overlooks the lake and hills at the rear - a superb area for al fresco meals. The Farmhouse has been refurbished to provide 5 star quality modern accommodation, which retaining the charm of a cottage - the adjoining lounge and dining room have beamed ceilings and the snug has a huge inglenook fireplace. The lounge is furnished with luxurious leather sofas and a matching chair, coffee and side tables, a large TV with freeview and surround sound, and a CD/DVD player. A selection of DVDs, books, games and jigsaws are available for your use. The snug also has leather sofas, one of which converts to a kingsize bed, and an internet-linked TV and DVD/Blueray player. The farmhouse is WIFI enabled. The dining room has a large oak table with leather chairs and an oak bench so that ten guests can be seated. Off the lounge is a conservatory overlooking the well-established garden. The kitchen is situated at the rear of the property and enjoys a south westerly aspect overlooking a private garden and has views of the estuary. It is fitted with modern units and has a double oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, and a large American style fridge/freezer. A washing machine and a dryer are provided in the utility area of the hall. A welsh oak staircase leads to the first floor incorporating three double bedrooms overlooking the front garden with side views of the estuary, and all have en-suite facilities, two of the bathrooms having a bath with shower above, the third having a large walk-in shower (new for 2018). Two of the bedrooms have two single beds that can be made up as a super-king and a king-size. The third bedroom has a king-size bed. There is also a king-size sofa bed in the snug that can be made up on request. Outside: The grounds comprise well-established gardens with tropical plants and a private woodland. Most of the 4 acres of woodland is on a hillside which rises above the house at the rear - here an elevated decked area provides a wonderful secluded place to relax and enjoy views over the estuary. Note that the although garden is secure, it has an ornamental pond where children must be supervised. All-weather table and chairs, and a gas BBQ are provided for your use on the patio outside the kitchen. A decked terrace (above the kitchen), furnished with all weather loungers, rattan style sofas and a coffee table is accessed from the landing. This offers views of the estuary and the neighbouring fishing lake. Sorry, but we don't accept pets.More

About the neighbourhood
Panteidal Farmhouse provides the ideal retreat to get away from it all but it also provides the perfect base for the full range of outdoor activities available locally. In addition to the beach and water sport activities, such as sailing, yachting, rowing, canoeing and fishing, there is a championship golf course in Aberdovey and all manner of inland activities such as walking, hiking, cycling and climbing and many more associated with Snowdonia National Park.
Getting around
The house is 3 miles from the village of Aberdovey to the west, 7 miles from Machynlleth to the East. The entrance drive to the house is on this road. By rail, take a taxi from Machynllech station (regular direct service from Birmingham), or take the train into Penhellig station (at the start of Aberdovey) or Aberdovey station and take a taxi. There is a regular bus service from Machylleth to Aberdovey, and the bus will stop at the house on request, from either direction. The Welsh Coastal Path is on the hill behind the house, and it takes around 30 minutes to walk up to the path. From here, Aberdovey is a 1.5 hour walk.
