Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

Absolutely fabulous
We have been going to Scotland every year for the past 20+ years and roe deer cottage tops the lot, we won't be looking for anywhere else from now on. Elaine is lovely and friendly lady who was always ready to go out of her way to help when required and Angus is very pleasant and helpful. The cottage is in a superb location and we saw lots of wildlife nearby. Loch Leven hotel is a nice place to go for a lovely meal and a nice pint or two. All in all it was a smashing fortnight blighted only by my wife's I'll health which cut our holiday slightly short. All being well we will be back!!! Many thanks Elaine for a brilliant holiday.

Such a lovely experience
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Roe Deer cottage , it is one of the best B&B we have stayed in on our 6 week journey in the UK. The scenery is just stunning, the cottage lovely, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Elaine made us feel very welcome and we really enjoyed all the thoughtful touches with local products which ranged from soaps to yummy shortbread biscuits. Millie the little cat visits each day for a pat and the Scottish sheep came to say hi most days who were in the neighboring paddock, we were sad to leave.

Set with mountain views all around this is a stunning cottage
The cottage is in an ideal location surrounded by plenty of walks, nature reserves and ferries for travelling further a field. It was our first visit to Scotland and the details provided for local attractions was very much appreciated, along with the personalised welcome with hamper this cottage went above and beyond expectations. We would definately recommed this cottage to anyone visiting Scotland and will be looking to visit again in the not too distant future.

Excellent cottage!
We stayed at Roe Deer Cottage for 4 nights and wished we could have stayed for longer. The location is stunning and we had a different scenic view from every window. The cottage is so clean and we felt 'at home' straight away. Of particular note, is the attention to detail from the locally made toiletries to the lovely welcoming goodies. We would definitely recommend Roe Deer Cottage to others and look forward to returning when we are next in the Scottish Highlands.

Best Ever
Can’t recommend this amazing cottage highly enough. Just had a fantastic week staying there for the third time. Immaculately clean and so many special little touches, chocolates, local biscuits, toys and balloons in my daughter’s room, amazing Highland Soaps soap, shower gels, shampoos etc. Everything you would think of and extras other people wouldn’t were included. Gorgeous view of mountains, new baby lambs out the window and even a visit to the front garden from a white horse!

Perfect for a family
Every little detail was taken care of during our stay. Elaine, the hostess, had provided tea, biscuits and even Easter eggs for our kids! We had lots of information about walks in the area and the cottage was equipped with everything needed for cooking. THere is a beautiful view out the windows. It's ideally located near Glencoe and about 20 minutes to Fort William. I would absolutely come here again and stay longer. We were here for only 3 short days. The decor of the house is beautiful as well with lovely local soaps, cute placemats, beautiful picture on the wall. If i was going to design my own holiday home, this is what I'd want it to look like!

Fantastic cottage in a great location, great facilities and sooo comfortable
The cottage is in a great location with easy access to lots of local attractions. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has all the facilities you could wish for, many luxurious touches. Welcoming beverage and biscuits, local range of toiletries included, very environmentally friendly, warm, comfortable with the most amazing views surrounding all sides. Elaine and Angus have done a fantastic job of providing great accommodation and making us feel welcome. Will definitely return for another visit. Loch Leven Hotel is within walking distance if you want go out for a drink and not have to drive - they do some amazing gins, have a terrace with views over the loch which is just brilliant at sunset, food is good too.

Excellent stay
We really enjoyed our stay, from the welcome tray on arrival to the immaculate cottage everything was excellent. The cottage is well located for Fort William and exploring the stunning scenery nearby. In terms of facilities you have everything you need, a modern kitchen, plenty of off road parking, two well equipped en suite bedrooms and WiFi if you need to stay connected. If we’re ever up in the Glencoe area again we will be looking to stay here.

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus mit allem, was man braucht
Absolut empfehlenswert.
