The property sits in a secure locked garden. The external staircase leads to the upper shaded terrace overlooking the pool. The lounge/kitchen area is entered from this terrace. The main bedroom and en-suite bathroom are on the 2nd floor via an internal staircase. This bedroom offers a superb view of the Cevennes mountains with beautiful sunsets. It is close to the beautiful historic town of Uzès, the Pont du Gard and the renowned hill village of Lussan. Many other well known places and attractions are within easy reach. Brouzet les Alès is 1 hour from the Mediterranean with its' stunning beaches and superb seafood. About the neighbourhood
The Gard region is similiar to Provence, scattered with pretty stone Mas and many quaint little villages. The countryside is beautiful with vineyards, and fields of sunflowers and lavender abounding. C'est la vraie France. The local people are friendly and welcoming. The prices in everyday shops and supermarkets are not excessive. Eating out can be very reasonable and the local wines are excellent value for money and quality. It is an ideal holiday destination for families. Within easy reach of the house are: Le Pont du Gard, an impressive Roman aqueduct. Arles. This was home to Van Gogh and has a well restored Roman arena and theatre. Nîmes was an important Roman city with a superb arena that is still used for concerts and bull fights. Orange has a Roman theatre still used for opera...
