The Owners have lived in North Devon all of their lives and love to share such a special place with visitors. Only two doors away from Southclay, they will be only too happy to tell you the best places to go; what to do; where to shop and where to eat if you would like some recommendations. They also have an army of local contacts in case you have any problems during your stay so please do ask.

About the neighbourhood
Discover the numerous rocky shores or the famous sandy surfing beaches or explore rural North Devon and North Cornwall, Dartmoor and Exmoor and all the country pubs in between. Enjoy quaint harbours and market towns, local gardens and visitor attractions or the country lanes, coastal footpaths and cycle tracks.
On the edge of a delightful Devon village, Southclay is only 5-10 minutes walk to the thatched village pub, church, village playing fields and popular tourist attractions, The Big Sheep and for the adrenalin junkies, The Ultimate High is just a little further - there is plenty to do on your doorstep if you want to give the car a rest!
Getting around
A car is recommended for sightseeing in North Devon but a bus service does run through the village with a request stop right outside the property.

There are many footpaths around the village and of course the SW Coastal Footpath is very close or cycle along country lanes and cycle ways if you want to enjoy the fresh air.

How to get there
The nearest international airports are Bristol and Exeter, nearest train stations are Tiverton, Exeter and Barnstaple.

A car is recommended but there are a few busses that stop in the village (look for bus stop at Abbotsham (Devon) church on B3236). Otherwise you will easily get a taxi from either Barnstaple or Bideford if travelling by public transport

Directions by car:
· From the M5 junction 27, take the main A361/ A39 Atlantic Highway linking the M5 at Tiverton with North Devon and North Cornwall.

· To the west of Bideford you will pass signs for Abbotsham and a flag for The BIG Sheep tourist attraction, do not turn here, continue up the hill to the roundabout.
