About the neighbourhood
The mediaval village of Pigna is about 20 kms inland from the coastal town of Ventimiglia. It is in the Upper Nervia Valley between the Italain Riviere and the Ligurian Alps. The village is dominated by the 12th Century Church of San Michele, and the narrow cobbled streets and the arched lanes, called currugi slope down into the village. It is totally unspoilt here, and has 3 shops, a bank, pharmacy, hairdresser, several bars and a Trattoria. There are quite a few local festivals in the village, such as a Lavender Festival, Mushroom Festival,
Chestnut Festival, Brown Bread Festival, Poetry and Art and Music. During the summer months there are regular dances held in the centre of the village.
The area is designated as a Regional Park, and the scenery is spectacular. We can arrange...
