A selection of games, books and DVD's are provided to assist in your endeavours! However, should you wish to 'touch base' with your on-line friends, wifi facilities are available at the cottage. A log burner provides warmth and cosiness for winter nights. A downstairs cloakroom with toilet and washbasin also offers space to store coats and shoes. Each of the two bedrooms are both cosy yet luxurious - a grey colour scheme for the first floor bedroom and amber for the second floor bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge with freezer box, electric cooker/hob and a dishwasher. A table and four chairs allows for comfortable dining. The cottage is built into the hillside and steep stone steps lead to two small terraces - with great views over Cromford afforded by the upper level terrace. Please note: the cottage retains the original staircase which gives access to the first and second floors. This staircase is quite steep and may present a challenge for those who have difficulty walking. Being built into the hillside - the stone steps to the rear of the property may present a similar challenge for those who experience difficulty walking.More

34 Water Lane was originally an 18th Century mill workers cottage with only three rooms on three floors. About the neighbourhood
If you want to travel outside Cromford - highly recommended given the places of interest on your doorstep - the following places are very easily accessed: 1. Matlock Bath - a small and lively town located on the River Wye, which offers tea rooms, gift shops, Heights of Abraham cable car ride and Gulliver's Kingdom as well as picnic areas by the river is approximately 1 mile away from Cromford - easily walkable but equally accessed within five minutes by car. 2. Matlock - another small town packed full of tea shops, gift and antique shops. Again located on the River Wye this thriving little town is a must see for visitors. Matlock is located approximately 2.5 miles from Cromford and would take approximately 10 minutes to reach by car.
Getting around
To take full advantages of what the area has to offer, I recommend guests have use of a motor vehicle. However, if this is not possible, there is a railway station at Cromford iteslf - approximately two kilometres from the cottage.
