We had a lovely weekend away in the cottage in December. The location was fantastic, a short walk away from the local shop and pub. We visited the local area and Chatsworth house which is only a short drive away. The cottage itself was beautifully cleaned and the fire made it extra cosy. I would thorougly recommend this cottage to...

Thanks for a great review. Just to make it clear to anybody thinking of booking the cottage the fire is a coal affect GAS fire - all the benefits of an open fire/woodburner, without the mess and hassle of lighting it :-)

What a lovely place!! A great place to set up to go and explore the Peak District. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay and then some. On the ground floor is the kitchen/dining room and a bathroom. The bathroom contains a spa bath, with a power shower over the bath.<BR><BR>On the first floor is a lounge/bedroom, thoughtfully laid out so that you can sit on the sofa and look up to Eyam Edge.<BR><BR>The living are is well equipped with flatscreen TV with Freesat channels, large DVD library, stereo and Ipod dock/speaker. A well stocked library, including many local walking books and OS maps for both the White and Dark Peaks, so no need to buy your own.
