Niolos Villas consists of two autonomous villas located on a hill, overlooking the Souda bay and offering beautiful sea views. Villa Niolos I is a 170 sq.m, luxury villa with a high standard design and construction quality, located next to Sternes village which is only 2 minutes drive away from the well known sandy beaches of Marathi and Loutraki. Because of its position (being located on a hill side), the villa offers an incredible view of Souda bay. The interior design of our luxury villa is modern and its layout functional, offering privacy within your group. Villa Niolos I can accommodate 7 guests in beds and up to 8 people if necessary. Entering the villa on the ground floor, you will find a spacious open plan area which contains the living room, a fully equipped kitchen, the indoor dining table and exit to veranda. On the same floor there is also a bathroom with shower and a storage. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one with a single bed and another one with a double bed that can also be set up as two singles. Both bedrooms offer magnificent views from the balconies. On this floor there is also a bathroom that contains bath with shower. On the second floor there is our beautiful attic. It includes a double bed, a closet room, a kitchenette with refrigerator and a bathroom enclosure with shower and jacuzzi. There is also an exit to private balcony. Outside and underneath the main building of the villa, there is an individual studio with direct access to garden. Entering the studio you will find an open plan area which includes a small living room and a fully equipped kitchen. It also contains a bathroom with shower and a bedroom with a double bed and storage space. Outdoor area The beautifully landscaped outdoor area of Villa Niolos I, filled with flowers and palm trees, offers amazing sea views, as well as a variety of facilities which include:
 - A private, 50 sq. m. chlorine free ecological swimming pool with a special compartment for children. The pool can be heated with an additional daily charge for the entire stay, upon one week advance request. - Fully equipped, gas barbecue facilities with wood oven and outdoor sink - Outdoor dining areas - Lawn covered area by the pool, ideal for the kids to play - A variety of furnished spots (with sun beds, umbrellas, shaded outdoor living room and hammocks) for relaxing in the gardens around the villa, the pool terrace, the veranda and the the balconies. - Ping Pong table - The whole outdoor area is fully fenced and offers privacy in some spots of the outdoor area. - Parking space for 4 cars The unique benefits of Villa Niolos are: - The location, as the villa is situated in a very idyllic point and nothing can interrupt the magical views of Cretan sea and mountains. Fantastic villa with spectacular views
We had a fantastic week with our family in villa Niolos I. The villa is modern, light, very large and particularly well equipped (both in the kitchen, bathroom and pool areas). The views are absolutely wonderful and the villa has many small and cosy corners, where all members of the family could have a moment on their own or come together for family moments. We made good use of the very good pool and of the barbecue facilities. In short, a wonderful place where we spent our best time in Crete. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous views villa
We rented the whole villa for a month, and we wished we had never left. The villa is made magical by its location and the panoramic views it offers of Souda Bay. Seeing all sorts of cruise liners, submarines, and boats coming into the port was excellent. The villa is three stories high, clean and nicely decorated, with rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor and a 1 bedroom maisonette on the ground level where the pool is located. The upper outside area is beautiful, we spent a lot of time hanging out there and gathering. The hosts were friendly and good at getting back to us promptly if we required anything. This is a great place to stay, and we would love to be back.

Great family vacation!
We loved our stay! The villa and surrounding property were beautiful, the service was exquisite and we enjoyed the location! We were close enough to activities in Chania, but really enjoyed the beaches and restaurants that were less than a 10 minutes drive at Marathi beach! The property owner and Etouri were wonderful. The helped with anything we needed during our stay! We'll definitely book again!

Fantastic family friendly villa
When we first saw the villa online we thought it was stunning and it didn’t disappoint when we arrived and saw it for the first time! Situated in a lovely location overlooking the sea it couldn’t have been more perfect! We were greeted by the owner who couldn’t have done more for us all and made sure all our our prior requests were dealt with. The owner had left some homemade traditional Greek biscuits as well as their home made olive oil (amazing!) Which was such a thoughtful touch. The fridge had also been stocked with some fruit to keep us going until we went to the supermarket. The outdoor eating area was stunning with its magnificent views of the bay and a great outdoor kitchen including a barbecue and pizza oven (both of which we used!). The pool was beautiful which also boasted the wonderful views the rest of the villa offered. There were 2 large inflatables which the children (and adults) enjoyed very much. The villa itself was clean, tidy and felt very much like a home from home. Lovely bedrooms, each having their own view of the bay and bathroom facilities. The separate flat was ideal for when we were by the pool for the children to go inside for a siesta, it also had its own kitchen where we could store poolside drinks and ice creams! Local village was lovely and we visited a few local restaurants and bakeries. The local beach was beautiful with some lovely beachside restaurants to have lunch and dinner. Overall a fantastic stay and we are looking forward to visiting again in the future!

Paradiscial!
I celebrated my birthday with friends and family at the Villa Niolos. When I entered Villa Niolos for the first time, I stepped into a fabulously contemporary and airy living and dining space with floor to ceiling sliding doors that opened out to incredible views! What a WOW moment! I particularly fell in love with the modern architecture of the villa – clean lines and open spaces with graciously appointed furnishings. The smart design of the villa featured panoramic vistas from the living room and the upstairs bedrooms that all overlooked the swimming pool and ocean views! My room was in the loft/top floor and I’ve never slept so well. The villa was also very well maintained and super clean. Villa Niolos is truly a lovely well-positioned home in a wonderful idyllic location off the beaten track but less than 10 minutes from the Hania International airport and very accessible to a couple of lovely local beaches. I enjoyed the fact that we were also 20 minutes from the Venetian Harbor in the Old City. Coming back to the Villa each night was wonderful as we were located in a quiet community – away from it all. The pool area was where we’d unwind with cocktails and quiet conversation. Etouri, the management company arranged Yoga classes for us in the mornings with a very talented young lady by the name of Vassos. Being away from the city center proper also allowed a higher degree of privacy. We enjoyed massages poolside and simply unwound in this luxurious spot soaking up the sun and amazing views. Also near the villa is a selection of tavernas, and minimarkets easily reached on foot. In addition, we enjoyed driving to two of the islands best sandy beaches, Elafonissi and Falassarna -- both within an hour’s drive from Villa Niolos. Stella, the owner, with her lovely daughter, Anna, went above and beyond to make us comfortable – even brought home-made Cretan dishes to delight! Thank you Stella! We truly enjoyed our visit, and hope you’ll have us again! I would be remiss if I did not expand on the tremendous assistance afforded to us by Etouri, the management company for the villa. Kostas, Eleni and staff were so very, very helpful. We had an incident where we missed a bus to Santorini for a day trip, and Eleni, with no hesitation, stepped in to advocate on our behalf, and we were able to take a subsequent bus without losing our money. Etouri went beyond in liaising with various service professionals to arrange car rental, massages, tours, and exercise classes for us. There were many highlights, but the most memorable, we my birthday aboard a RIB Boast arranged by Etouri. We sailed to Balos, and celebrated my birthday with an on-board lunch and champagne toast! The other memorable tour was arranged with Tatiana, a local archaeologist. What a fine person and tremendous tour that provided a great historic introduction to the island during our first few days of arrival. Thank you all! Kelli

A dream house
Such a friendly welkom! Fresh fruits, honey, home made cookies, water and a bottle of wine 😍 The house was just perfect, everything you need. Good beds, fresh bedlinen, towels and even shampoo, conditioner, soap, toiletpaper. outside a pizzaoven and bbq. More than enough places to sit, shadow or sun. There was a little breese. Even it was the last week of april the temperature was around 25 degrees. The airport is only 7 minutes away, don't let this stop you from renting the house. (we heard it only 2 times in the distance) But the best of all is Stella, the owner. She is the model of Greek hospitality!! What a warm and sincerely interested lady. She has an eye for detail and that you can see at the house and garden. (Marathi beach is nice to visit, the restaurant Patrelantonis is recommended!)

Heaven’s Villa
Not a negative thing to say, The Villa is beautiful, clean, well appointed with everything you need. It is close to Marathi Beach, where we spent most of our time, as well as the airport. Stella, the host, was charming, very accommodating and most gracious. Her daughter (her translator!) was a joy! There was fresh fruit in the refrigerator, cookies and olive oil as well as other goodies waiting for us! Don’t hesitate, just book it, you won’t be disappointed! We hope to be back one day!

Traumhafte Villa zum Seele baumeln lassen
Wir haben in der Villa Niolos eine traumhafte Urlaubswoche verbracht. Das Haus bietet auch für große Gruppen (wir waren mit unseren Kindern und den beiden Großmüttern unterwegs) zahlreiche schöne Plätze zum Relaxen und Seele baumeln lassen - je nach Stimmung und Tageszeit. Die Räume sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet - die Fotos sagen die Wahrheit - und perfekt gepflegt. Der Pool war bereits Ende Mai angenehm temperiert. Da keine direkten Nachbarn vorhanden sind, durften sich die Kids im Wasser ungestört austoben. Der Garten und die Außenanlagen sind ebenfalls eine Augenweide. Besonders hervorzuheben: der Blick vom Esstisch auf der Terrasse auf die Bucht. Und die ausgesprochen freundlichen Vermieter, die uns zum Beispiel zum Geburtstag unseres Sohnes mit Schokokuchen und selbstgebackenen griechischen Käsetaschen überrascht hatten - wir waren sprachlos! Sehr schön auch die Nähe zum sehr schönen Hafenort Chania und zum feinsandigen Marathi Beach. Die Reiseagentur etouri hat uns mehrfach mit sehr hilfreichen Infos versorgt (diese Leistung war im Hauspreis inklusive). Wir sind schweren Herzens abgereist und hoffen, bald wieder Gast in der Villa Niolos zu sein.

About the neighbourhood
The villa is located on a hill, overlooking the Souda bay outside the small traditional village Sternes which is one of the 20 villages of Akrotiri peninsula, about 14 km north east of Chania town. The whole surrounding area is a totally quiet natural environment ideal for relaxing but also being very close to all kind of supplies shops, restaurants and services. In Sternes village you will be able to find a mini market and a pharmacy but most of supplies can be found in Kounoupidiana (8 km away from the villa) which is the largest village of Akrotiri peninsula. The closest well known area because of it’s beach is Marathi which is only 3 km away. Marathi is an organised sandy beach which is famous for the crystal blue and calm waters with some very good traditional seafood taverns. It is totally rare to see waves in that beach even if it is a windy day. An other well known beach which is next to the villa (2.2km away) and worth a visit is Loutraki. Furthermore, in Akrotiri area you will find some remarkable historical monuments, century-old monasteries and churches, impressive caves with rich lithological and archaeological interest. If you are looking for big markets and entertainment, then Chania city is only 10-15 minutes drive away from the villa. Staying in our villa will offers you not only the advantage of relaxing in a quiet private area but also be close to everything!
