Gorce is a 200 year old former barn set among vineyards and only 5 - 10 minutes from town. We offer a peaceful retreat in a rural vineyard setting, without being remote from the facilities of modern life. We welcome guests attending weddings at local chateaux, and have contacts with local hair stylists and beauticians for pre-wedding pampering.

Malbec is one of our three large (19 sq m) private guest rooms, each with en suite wc/shower room, each available and priced separately. There are two double rooms and a family room with one double and one single bed; a baby cot is available for any room - please request when booking. We supply towels and bed linen.

Breakfast is held in the family kitchen, where you can help yourself to coffee or tea throughout the day. We regret that we cannot offer meals other than breakfast, or cooking fac...

About the neighbourhood
Gorce is just outside the village of Massugas, in the commune of Pellegrue, a bastide town built on a Roman settlement. Vineyards are all around, and the bastide towns of the Lot et Garonne region are only minutes away. We are within 10 minutes of two well-know wedding venue chateaux which makes us an ideal base for wedding guests and we can direct you to several local hairdressers and beauticians for last-minute pampering.

Located a few miles south of the Dordogne river, a wide range of leisure activities is within easy reach. Pellegrue and Gensac are only a 5 minute drive away, ensuring that supermarkets, bakeries, bars and restaurants are easily accessible. Thriving local markets are weekly at Duras, Sainte-Foy-la-Grande and Monsegur, with fruit and vegetables, local meats, sauc...
