About the neighbourhood
In front of the house you would be staying at, lies the old Chateau Creissan, which dates back to the 10th century, and now houses a vigneron, supplying wines to prestigious hotels and restaurant around the world, (Open for wine purchases at low prices). There are a variety of amenities close to the village..... for example A large riding stables on the outskirts of Creissan, on the road towards Quarante, caters for both novice and more experienced horse riders. There are a good selection of restaurants close to Creissan, usually situated in the villages nearby, or sign-posted on the roadside. Visit the many roadside Cave Cooperatives (wine outlets) for sampling and purchasing of local wines, at low prices, from around 1 euro per litre..... not to be missed (there are 3 caves in Creiss...
How to get there
Leave the A9 motorway at junction 36, follow the signs for St Pons (N112), after 20 kms turn off at Creissan junction (sign posted), then into the village centre, follow signs for mairie (town hall), Rue du Chateau is round the back of the old Chateau situated there.
