Stunning Property
Our 3 generation family of 6 people stayed at The Old Butcher's Shop for one week. After speaking to Rachel, the owner, she was good enough to let us take our 4 dogs with us. Docking is a small quiet village but makes a great base to visit the North Norfolk area. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need and the furnishings and decorations are both practical and tasteful. The garden is great for children and dogs, although our smallest dog managed to squeeze under the hedge but we used the windbreaks to cut off her escape route. The wood burner is lovely for cooler evenings but the French doors can be opened wide for the warmer weather. The showers work really well and we made good use of the dishwasher too. We had 3 cars which we were able to park on the drive with room to spare. The downstairs bedrooms and house bathroom make it ideal for the elderly and the ground floor is all level with no steps. A superb property, highly recommended.

We spent a lovely couple of nights enjoying this fantastic house. Every luxury was provided and there were good showers, amazingly fluffy towels and comfy beds. Lovely setting and a great place to spend time with friends. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful accommodation
We loved our stay at The Old Butcher's Shop in the pretty village of Docking. The house is beautifully decorated throughout and thoughtfully supplied with everything you could possibly need. I think it has the best equipped kitchen of anywhere we have ever stayed! We enjoyed comfy beds, a log fire and eating outside in the courtyard garden (weather permitting!). There are plenty of nice places to eat a short drive away, as well as a small supermarket and a fish and chip shop in the village. We were also well located to access a choice of pristine north Norfolk beaches. We would love to come back.

Girls long weekend
What a gorgeous house. All the creature comforts that we needed. Lovely decor, really comfy beds topped off with beautiful bedding-so relaxing. So nice to have the wood burner in November. We went for some lovely walks along the coastal paths, which were only a short drive away. Lots of nice pubs along the way, serving delicious food-and a lot of dog friendly places too.
Wouldn’t hesitate to go back again-either with a group of friends or for a family holiday

Perfect Norfolk retreat
The Old Butcher's Shop is a lovely spacious house and was ideal for a family get together. Docking is a lovely village with fabulous walks and glorious countryside. We explored nearby beaches, Burnham Market and played golf at nearby Royal West Norfolk at Brancaster. The house is beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, beds were very comfortable with lovely linen, plus bathrooms had a plentiful supply of fluffy towels. Great sized dining room plus a large kitchen with additional table and chairs. Kitchen had quality equipment for cooking proper meals. It is a lovely, lovely home and we will definitely come back to The Old Butcher's Shop.

Beautiful luxury home from home, all needs thought of!
Exceedingly stylish and beautifully decorated. It is such a delightful holiday home, the beds are so, so comfortable! The kitchen is very well-equipped, everything has been thought of that you might need. Family-friendly with table tennis, games, books for the children, and a safe rear garden to relax in. Plenty of space for 8 people, and a dog with parking for 4 cars which is a bonus - we will certainly visit again!
