About the neighbourhood
Ludham is an unspoilt, rural broadland village, with stunning views and walks in all directions. Amenities include a pub (Kings Arms serves food and a wonderful carvery!), a butchers, village shops and a cafe. Womack Staithe is a lovely place to sit and watch the boats, and it's also home to the Wherry Trust. St. Benets Abbey (where the rivers Bure and Ant meet) is a must see. The old ruins of an abbey which was home to King Canute in 1022, and was the only abbey in the country officially not shut down by King Henry VIII. Views of the river and fields go on for miles. How Hill is another must see, with a secret garden, visitor centre, cottage/museum, and stunning walks along the river Ant. True English countryside.
