There is a wide variety of birdlife - including buzzards, woodpeckers and ravens, as well as the Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, Severn Valley Steam Railway, Stokesay Castle, Shrewsbury, Ludlow and the Ironbridge Gorge – boasting as many as 10 museums. It was a lovely retreat for a couple of days (for my 50th). Lots of space, lots to do, wonderful countryside. Swimming pool was niche... and nice... (costs extra, but understandable and justified). Owners were very accommodating and helpful. Highly recommended.
