About the neighbourhood
The East Neuk of Fife is a beautiful corner of Scotland that is often overlooked by travellers who pass by on their way north. We would encourage you to visit this little gem in the ancient Kingdom of Fife as it is blessed with rugged coastlines, sandy beaches, forest walks, abundant famous (probably the world's most famous) golf courses and ancient universities as well as castles, manor houses and pre historic standing stones. Fife is also a producer of much fine food and drink with distilleries such as Eden Mill Gin, and Kingsbarns, working fishing ports like Pitenweem and Anstruther delivering fresh seafood to its tables.
Getting around
The village is conveniently located on a number of local bus routes that will take you to the coastal villages or to St Andrews. Why not walk the coastal path to Elie and catch the number 95 bus back to Lower Largo. We are 13km from Markinch railway station where you can catch direct trains to Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth all of which are less than an hour away.
