About the neighbourhood
The area is really private and you get a full feeling of staying in a villa but you don’t feel isolated in the country with the main strip just a bike ride away down the street where you will find the antique shops and the bakery (open every day and where you can get very simple last minute items like water, cheese, sandwich meat). The charming wine village Saint Emilion is so close you could go there every day for lunch or dinner. The area is also surrounded by wine producing chateaus and wine tasting opportunities. The city of Libourne is just 12 minutes away and is a proper city with everything you could need at the commercial center. The historic center is on the water and absolutely stunning near the main square! Firework often!
Getting around
You should definitely rent a car. Unless you are a professional al cyclist, this is an area you would want to explore by car. The rolling hills of wine country cannot be missed. We will have a few bikes at the house to borrow for short trips or picnics

From Libourne train station, you will take a taxi (approx 18 euro)
From Saint Emilion train station, the taxi will cost only 10 euros.
(We highly recommend taking a train to libourne and renting a car at Europcar at the train station. Very convenient. Must reserve)

Bordeaux take direction Libourne
Then direction Saint Emilion.
Once you pass the small
Village of Bigaroux (be careful there is a speeding radar so don’t go above 50) , you will be about 2 km from our street.
You will enter the village of Saint Pet d’Armens, Turn Right” after the antique shop at the building that says ‘tabac’ (right before the pizza truck). Continue for 1 km down the road a...
