Three couples rented this spacious villa in the little village of Massa Lubrense, perched high on a hill overlooking the sea.
We thoroughly enjoyed being in a small town rather than an overrun tourist haven. Each bedroom was on a different level, so there was plenty of privacy. The villa has modern bathrooms and is beautifully decorated. And the four terraces provided relaxing views of stunning sunsets. We enjoyed pizzas baked by a chef in the villa's outdoor, wood-fired pizza oven and we had an amazing cooking lesson from an Italian chef (Filomena). The villa also arranged day trips to the Amalfi Drive and Capri. We didn't have a car but got around just fine with walking and taxis. One word of caution: the driveway is narrow and steep. If you get a car, get a small one. And the villa has four levels with lots of stairs. So you will get plenty of exercise to help you burn off the pasta & pizza. We would come back here in a heartbeat.
