Village Porto Cervo Porto Cervo is the capital of Costa Smeralda, which in turn, is the queen of all beach resorts. In Porto Cervo you will find all the most exclusive shops, pharmacy, newsagent, restaurants, Hotel Cervo, the Tennis Club, administrative offices, supermarkets, medical center. The main pedestrian street is the Promenade, with the Piazzetta degli Archi on a higher level while below the Piazzetta of Chiacchere, "chit-chat piazza" leading to the main square. This main Piazzetta, is the central meeting place for all, and in the evening it is animated by a frame of people talking in front of other drinks and stroll the shops up to the old port, just across the wooden bridge, to watch the great of luxury yachts moored. The village was designed by the famous architect Luigi Vietti and is considered a masterpiece of urban design in Porto Cervo Marina Porto Cervo Marina is on the other side of the old village of Porto Cervo Bay; in reality it is often referred to as "New Port", the newly established port. The heart of this area is the village, designed by the Sardinian Figus, with its squares, shops, newsstands, Italian style, supermarket, pubs, the Lord Nelson, etc. Nearby is the exclusive Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, which organizes each season all the races and the presentations and events taking place on the main square of the village and then to the main pier, where the biggest luxury yachts are moored. At the end of the Navy's shipyard Costa Smeralda, where repairs are undertaken and laying up of boats. Around the port there are apartment buildings, like the Sextant (our apartment is located here), with berths in front of the apartments, S'Abba Ilde and Sas Pedras, overlooking the Marina. Very beautiful and charming the Porto Cervo church, Stella Maris, located on the hill overlooking the marina. Porto Cervo Marina is a fascinating place, very lively and ideal for those who love boating and breathe in a marine environment. In summer there is a small ferry that takes passengers, free of charge, to and from the old port. You can also stroll over, if you prefer, the lovely trail around the edge of the bay. Discount for long periods.More
