WiFi More information The space Moniack holiday chalets make a great base for exploring the Scottish Highlands, with Nessie, castles, lochs, beaches & mountains within easy reach, and is also a perfect place for you to relax. Smithywood chalet has one bedroom, with a fabulous queen-size bed. All bed-linen, towel sets and tea towels are provided. All electricity & heating included. Wood and kindling is provided for the Morsø wood-burning stove. Welcome pack - tea, coffee, milk and some essentials to help you settle in. Dog friendly holiday - 2 welcome (no charge) Smithywood - Moniack Lodges, Inverness Guest access Smithywood Chalet sits in it's own private garden, beside a stream in a sunny spot and woodland setting - parking is available off the road beside the lodge. NOTE - Smithywood's Garden: A low fence forms the western (roadside) boundary of the garden. There are also low fences to the southern & northern boundaries. There is, however, no fence to part of the water's edge; the stream (Moniack Burn) forms the eastern boundary of the garden - therefore, supervision of children and dogs is particularly important within the woodland grounds and, especially, when close to the waterway and garden pond. We can accommodate you with up to two of your canine companions in each of our lodges at no additional charge. All we ask is that you kindly refer to our 'Dogs Welcome' information in our Booking Contract before booking - please, also, let us know who is coming along and a little about your dogs at the time of booking.More

About the neighbourhood
Stroll a short distance from the lodge to enjoy Reelig Glen Tall Trees Trail - a beautiful waterside, all-abilities trail through some of Britain's tallest trees. Our local inn, the Old North Inn, is not too far away at Inchmore - within easy walking distance on a cycle-path & quiet roads; bar meals & dining available. Nearby Beauly offers shopping, historic Beauly Priory, galleries, gift shops, cafes and restaurants. You’ll find the warmest of welcomes in Inverness, around 15 minutes’ drive from Moniack; offering city shopping, riverfront restaurants and cafes, theatre, Inverness castle and museum, leisure facilities and the beautiful Ness Islands walk. Take a cruise along the Caledonian Canal and don’t forget to look for Nessie in t
Getting around
The best way to view the Highlands is by car - many of our guests take day trips to the Isle of Skye, passing the photogenic Eilean Donan castle along the way, visit the local Black Isle beaches, villages and eateries, walk in Reelig woodland, just on the doorstep, or enjoy the highly popular North Coast 500 driving and cycling tour route - taking them to far-flung, pristine north and west coast beaches, more castles, deep lochs and huge skies!
