We stayed here on our honeymoon in September 2017. Antonia greeted us on arrival and recommended nearby things to do, along with a basket of goodies including fresh bread, milk, jam and eggs. The lodge itself is a real home away from home! It is clean, comfortable and has everything that you would need - we cooked our own meals...

Had a great week in a beautiful location. Lodge clean and comfortable and has all you need. Red squirrels and pine martens visit the garden as do many birds. Nearest village is Beauly which has a well stocked co-op, a short drive to Inverness and easy access to Loch Ness and Black Isle. Great walks nearby. Saw dolphins and seal...

Fantastic holiday. The lodge was great, everything you could need, very clean and well furnished. Antonina, the owner left some lovely local goods for us to sample along with fresh eggs from her hens. The eggs were wonderful and she was happy to bring us more. One of the best bits was the garden, full of wildlife; red squirrels, voles,...

About the neighbourhood
Stroll a short distance from the lodge to enjoy Reelig Glen Tall Trees Trail - a beautiful waterside, all-abilities trail through some of Britain's tallest trees.

Our local inn, the Old North Inn, is not too far away at Inchmore - within easy walking distance on a cycle-path & quiet roads; bar meals & dining available.

Nearby Beauly offers shopping, historic Beauly Priory, galleries, gift shops, cafes and restaurants.

You’ll find the warmest of welcomes in Inverness, around 15 minutes’ drive from Moniack; offering city shopping, riverfront restaurants and cafes, theatre, Inverness castle and museum, leisure facilities and the beautiful Ness Islands walk.

Getting around
The best way to view the Highlands is by car - many of our guests take day trips to the Isle of Skye, passing the photogenic Eilean Donan castle along the way, visit the local Black Isle beaches, villages and eateries, walk in Reelig woodland, just on the doorstep, or enjoy the highly popular North Coast 500 driving and cycling tour route - taking them to far-flung, pristine north and west coast beaches, more castles, deep lochs and huge skies!

How to get there
From Inverness:
Take the A862 out of Inverness (follow signs for Beauly); cross the Caledonian Canal, on Telford's swing bridge, and continue along the Beauly Firth, then into the countryside for around 7 miles. Turn off left at the old white police house (signposted Moniack, Cabrich, Clunes); after approximately 1 mile, you'll find our lodges on the left, opposite the Forestry Commission's green Reelig Glen Woodland Walk sign.

Moniack is just 8 miles from Inverness city and 4 miles from Beauly, where you'll find shopping, gift shops, cafes and restaurants - it's a great base for families, couples and friends touring the Highlands of Scotland and, also, a relaxing, peaceful retreat for those who want to get away from it all.

Inverness has good road, rail and air links...
