If you enjoy visiting places, there is plenty to see from Museums (painting, chocolate, prehistoric times etc.) to castles, cathedrals, middle-age villages, walks around beautiful lakes, vine routes and the vines chateaux etc. You can also visit the very famous Gorge Du Tarn whilst kayaking. If you revel in sporting activities, there are many more available, climbing for example. Plus extensive child friendly activities. However, if you would prefer just to relax, there are gorges and lakes to unwind and take some time out or perhaps go for a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters. Labastide-Rouairoux is also a heaven for trekkers and mountain biking with many treks around the village, plus many more in the surrounding villages. For people who love to simply walk or cycle, the “Voie Verte” is a wonderful place to walk, cycle and relax on. It's an old train track which has been transformed into an exclusive route for walkers, cyclists and horses. It stretches for many miles, all the way from Mazamet to Bédarieux. You can go trout fishing without a license in Fraïsse sur Agout, a beautilful village in the mountains. So, come and enjoy a relaxing time to the sound of the river running alongside our clean and comfortable holiday apartment.More

About the neighbourhood
Mazamet has got all the shopping centre and shops you may need. There are also lots of activities. For example, every Sunday in July and August, Mazamet offers a free concert at the park band stand. There's also a great big market every Wednesday in St Pons de Thomière only 10 minutes away by car. There, you can find all local products, honey being one of them, organic food (there is a great local organic shop too), locally grown vegetables and of course meat, fish and cheese. You have 2 lakes within 30 minutes drive where you can swim, do acrobranching and eat. You can also find pedalos, boats, bouncy castles, wind surfing... You can go fishing without a license in a nearby village. It fantastic and great fun for children.
Getting around
In our village, there are plenty of walks, cycling and VTT tracks and our traditional teextile museum. There are all the shops you need. However if you want a bit more you need to drive to go to the lakes, fishing, more museums, carcassone castle, the sea, Albi's cathedral, producteurs' market etc...
