Holiday Rental House
Striking stone built house , dating back to the mid 19th century, with private woodland and babbling brook. The house had stood empty for 60 years. It has now been renovated to a very high standard but still retains all the character you would image for such an old, interesting and historic building. It has two double bedrooms each with their own staircases and bathrooms. It's almost a house of two half's, yet quirky, it's well insulated, double glazed, spacious but cozy and has all the benefits of modern life whilst retaining a feel of a 'rosier' bygone time. The house stands in two and a half acres of private woodland and is bordered by a stream to one side and and apple orchard to the other. Wildlife is in abundance from kingfishers, buzzards and woodpeckers to deer, squirrels and tin...Striking stone built house , dating back to the mid 19th century, with private woodland and babbling brook. The Mill House is a lovely comfortable place, restful and peaceful, it’s beautifully renovated and decorated. The owner is friendly, helpful and approachable. We had a great stay.

About the neighbourhood
Countryside, quiet country lanes, small fields and hedges. We are very lucky in the department of Orne that farming is still relatively 'old school'. Orchards and bridle paths, brambles and oak trees all gives a tradional feel; but you don't have to dive miles to get to a shop. La Chapelle D'Andain, a couple of min away, has everything you might need. Bagnoles de I'Orne , (10 mins) has restaurants, cafe/bars, summer street entertainment and is great for people' watching and ice creams. Super for cycling and walking, fasination medieval towns and chateaux to go and see, swim in the lake in Le Ferte Mace or have a picnic in the forest. If you like the country life , you'll feel right at home.
