Oh my goodness! What a find! Rudby Hall was the perfect venue to celebrate my 60th birthday with family and friends at the end of September. It’s the most magnificent house, set in beautiful grounds with gorgeous views, close by to quaint Yorkshire towns and villages and only 30 mins from the seaside.
The owners, Pam and Neil, are just lovely. So warm and welcoming and they provided a fantastic handover and lots of helpful information; far more comprehensive than a usual house handover, but totally required given the size of the property.
The house itself is just beautifully decorated, especially the “public” rooms and the bedrooms are immaculate with the most sumptuous bathrooms ever. Every comfort has been thought of throughout the house, from a large but still cosy living room with a magnificent open fire and tonnes of comfy seating, to a ballroom with sound proofing so that you can have a dance without worry of noise disturbance. Amazingly, there is also a little bar with wine fridges in the inner hallway which became a focal meeting point for all our guests. Bliss!
The dining room was bright and beautiful with lots of lovely round tables and chairs and stunningly decorated, making it an amazing room to celebrate my birthday dinner in.
The kitchen, prep area and back laundry room make for the dream set up for catering for 20 odd people. Add to this outside seating for warm days and you’ve just got the absolute perfect set up.
This home is truly magnificent and it’s been wonderful to find owners of such a large property that don’t take the micky when it comes to the rental price. The tariff was realistic, non-greedy and provided true value for money. If you live further south and dread the long journey, don’t! It’s worth a few hours drive and you couldn’t possibly regret it. Every one of our party were blown away. The owners are selling up and we can only hope that the next guardians of this beautiful home follow in the footsteps of the current owners, and continue to provide an a home that can continue to be loved by many in the future. We’d all love to return for Christmas one year. Thank you Pam and Neil for trusting us with Rudby Hall. It’s a party weekend we’ll never forget. Just perfect from start to finish!🤞

Family celebration
A very impressive house in extensive grounds. Beautiful bedrooms all en-suite with the best towels we’ve ever experienced. Plenty of space inside for 20 people even on a wet day to enjoy themselves and outside for cricket, football golf and badminton. We had a wonderful time and where very glad we found Rudby Hall for our celebration.

A delightful stay for our walking group
Our walking group had a fabulous stay in the hall last week. All the rooms were first class, the beds were extremely comfortable, and there was plenty of space for all of us.
We generally cater for ouselves and the kitchen facilities were outstanding with a prep area, the main cooking area, and a separate room for utilities.
The history of the hall is apparent the second one enters the entrance hall and we soon felt we were participants in Downton Abbey. We were fortunate with the weather so we also spent time relaxing in the gardens. The location is surrounded by good walking territory which include, of course, the North Yorkshire Moors. The beautiful village of Hutton Rudby is only a mile away and the historic towns of Stokesley and Guisborough are good for shopping for supplies.
Neil and Pam were delightful hosts and after briefing us on the house and its facilities left us to enjoy the house without further intervention.
We would wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Rudby Hall and may well return here as a group next year.

Great Place for Large Groups Looking for Space and Comfort
Just got back from an absolutely excellent weekend at Rudby Hall, with thanks to Neil and Pam for a great welcome. Accommodation is brilliant, very spacious for our large family, luxurious bedrooms with comfortable beds and amazing en-suites, lovely large living room with plenty of sofa space, dining room and library. Kitchen is very well equipped, including two enormous fridges.
The outside space is also great with plenty of room for games or just sitting in the sun.
We all loved it.

The perfect celebration venue!
What can I say other than the venue and people are absolutely perfect! We researched at 20+ venues that would accommodate 20 guests to celebrate my 50th, we're so glad that we chose Rudby Hall; we had the best time.
Going down the drive for the first time scored 10/10 for the WOW factor and it continued to get better from there. Spacious, very well equipped (they even had an ice crusher for the cocktails), warm, immaculately clean, grand and comfortable; I could not have wished to have found a better venue.
Plenty of places to visit and dine out just a short drive away, there are a few mini bus taxi operators close by if you’re planning on having a drink (book in advance); there are also lots of great walks for all levels close by.
Thanks to Eleanor and the marvelous team at Rudby Hall, we’ll be back!

Fantastic stay, cannot fault a singel thing
We hired Rudby Hall for my parents Diamond Wedding Anniversay. Safe to say the house exceeded all our expectations, and the photos dont do it justice. Hosts Neil and Pam so helpful.
Although I found the handover at the start of the week a bit daunting, we soon settled into the lifestyle of such a huge mansion, wandering the corridors without getting lost.
The great thing about this place is although there were so many of us staying there, you never felt crowded as there is so much space.
Every single bedroom was lovely.
We hired caterers Penleys for a formal meal one evening, recommended by the owners, and they were superb. Catered for 17 adults and 2 children. Amazing food.
The Wheatsheaf pub down the road were also great, we had 2 evening meals there and sunday lunch for 19 - which did not phase them at all. Beware of the Yorkshire sized portions!
I absolutley love this house, and despite it size, and it is massive, it felt really cosy. There is something truley special about Rudby Hall, it has a real positive energy around it.
I hope to return one day.

A fantastic 50th wedding celebration
We hired the fantastic Rudby Hall for a week to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. A weekend of family followed by 4 days of friends meant a full itinerary of games, celebratory dinners and outdoor fun, and we have left with so many great memories and photos. The management team fronted by the wonderful Eleanor were just delightful in their friendly and professional approach throughout and we could not recommend this venue more highly.
Both inside and out, what an occasion it was!!

Superb accommodation for a large get together - highly recommended
The Hall was wonderful in every way. We hosted a family and friends 50th birthday and every guest was really impressed. Beautiful bedrooms and en- suites and the reception rooms and kitchen were excellent both with space and facilities. Outside the garden area was great as were the views. Highly recommended, Eleanor and Neil were really helpful in the planning stage and during the visit.

Wonderful family weekend away
Just returned from the most amazing weekend with family at Rudby Hall.
Such an elegant, spacious house in an amazing setting. Having rooms all ensuite was such a bonus, especially as there were 20 of us. All the beds and linens were extremely comfortable. The kitchen is a cooks paradise and so well equipped. We opted to hire a table tennis and pool table too which was a fab addition. A BBQ in the gardens with the lovely outdoor furniture was a super too.
Inside the property having a lift was hugely helpful for the older members of our party too.
All communication with Eleanor was speedy and helpful. Such a beautiful property and part of the world. We hope to come back again.

An Amazing Place for a Large Family Holiday!
We booked Rudby Hall for a big family holiday and it was excellent! Wonderful grounds for the eight grandchildren to play. (Good to have the main lawn area contained by a low wall so they knew the limits.) The kitchen was well equipped. The bedrooms and bathrooms were luxurious. So much space that it was hard to believe that there were 19 of us in the house. What better than a country house for playing sardines and hide and seek?
Stokesley has a local farmers' market (check details in the info pack) and it has a bakery and butchers, too (as well as a large supermarket). There is a farm shop a bit further away in Yarm.
We visited Saltburn and Whitby for the seaside, the North York Moors Railway for the fun, Durham for the sightseeing and other more local places for walks.
