Rosa Cottage has undergone a major renovation and extension this winter, 2017/18, and the new Rosa Cottage is now complete and welcoming guests. Rosa Cottage is at the end of a narrow lane with open farmland to the South and West. The lane is part of the North Norfolk Coastal path and all that you are liking to see passing the door are walkers, dogs and the occasional vehicle. The house and garden are ideal for guests with children or dogs as the rear of the cottage is enclosed. Not guaranteed for escape prone dogs! There is a large open plan living area with a full height vaulted ceiling with a sleeping gallery over looking the living area and offering fabulous views over open countryside. There is a glimpse of the sea from here too but I can't call it a sea view! About the neighbourhood
Brancaster is on the popular North Norfolk Coast and was originally a Roman Fortress built about 300AD as part of the coastal defences. The village is now a quiet little resort with a handsome church. Salt marshes and sandy dunes, planted with Marram grass to hold up the process of erosion, separate the village from its beautiful sandy beach. Two miles away Brancaster Staithe stands on a creek which opens into Brancaster Harbour. It is a very popular sailing centre and from here, when the tide is right, it is possible to visit the bird sanctuary and national nature reserve of Scolt Head Island. It is a pleasant short walk from Rosa Cottage to the beach. Bird watching - Within a few miles of Brancaster are a number of world renowned bird reserves. The RSPB run Titchwell and Snettisham, Eng...
