We were immediately overwhelmed by the stunning location on top of a wooded hill with its spacious layout and modern furnishing. We stayed here for one week in July and had a great time. The house is very large and well decorated throughout. The house is set in a rural hamlet comprising just 7 properties on a plateau and surrounded by agricultural and wooded land. The nearest villages that offer small grocery shops are 5 miles away in either direction. For supermarkets you need to travel 10-12 miles. It is essential to have a motor vehicle to holiday here (or to be extremely athletic !) . There is plenty of parking at the property, just outside the courtyard. The nearest airports are Bergerac (1 hour), Brive (1 hour 15 mins), Toulouse (2 hours) and Rodez (2 hours 30 mins). The nearest train stations with services from Paris (taking around 5 hours) are Gourdon and Cahors, both around 45 mins drive. It takes roughly 9 hours to drive to the house from Calais.
