The two Driftwood condos are stunningly located on the water's edge of Hoopers Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Bahamas. The Condos are modern with hotel quality furniture and equipment. All rooms have air condition. The Condos are centrally located and close to stores and restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and Exumians are warm, friendly and welcoming. We, Lidia and Eric, will greet you when you arrive and will always be available in case you have any questions.
Driftwood Condos face the ocean side of the island with its cooling breeze and magnificent turquoise waters where you can swim with the wild turtles, watch dolphins, snorkel in the crystal clear waters, or just soak up the sun on the beautiful beach.

Wow!
We rented the Driftwood first floor condo from Dec. 23-30, 2020. Amazing location and view. We always rent vacation properties directly on the beach and this one did not disappoint. The condo was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. Although the weather was extremely windy and water too cold to enjoy, we were on the beach every day and did see the turtles which are adorable. The owners are gracious hosts and my only regret was that I did not get to spend enough time visiting with Lidia. Eric was kind enough to take my daughter and my granddaughter on a hiking adventure which they thoroughly enjoyed. We made wonderful family memories and will definitely return to this paradise one day.

Absolute Paradise with Wonderful Hosts!
This apartment has everything you could possible want in Exuma. The owners Eric and Lydia are amazing to work with and are super helpful if you have any questions. The apartment is clean and right on the beach. To top it off you are on one of the BEST beaches in Exuma! We stayed here for 2 weeks with our two daughters and can't wait to come back again. The AC works great! The beds are comfy! We cooked in almost every meal and the kitchen was perfect for that! We loved the use of the kayaks to explore! I am a travel agent and would recommend this to my clients!

Wonderful family vacation
Me, my wife and our 7 year old twins stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is directly on Hooper's bay which is beautiful. We really enjoyed the beach here, it was always very calm even when other beaches were a little rough. Swim, walk or kayak, down the beach to the dock and you might get to see the turtles, it was an experience our whole family will never forget. The proximity to stores, restaurants, a clinic, the hospital and Georgetown is great. We rented a car for the whole week so we explored this beautiful island and its wonderful beaches from its furthest point to the northwest on Great Exuma, all the way as far as we could drive southeast on Little Exuma. All of the local people we encountered on our vacation were very friendly and helpful. My family and I look forward to a return visit as soon as possible to this amazing location.

About the neighbourhood
Hooper's Bay is one of the main reasons for staying at Driftwood Condos. It is pretty much everyone's idea of the "perfect beach". It is has a gentle slope of perfect white sand into the warm and very safe for swimming. The Condos are centrally located and close to food shops, restaurants and liquor stores. If you are able to get away from the beautiful turquoise ocean you can walk around the safe and friendly neighborhood where Exumians will welcome you with beautiful smiles and open arms.
Getting around
You can find everything you need near Driftwood Condos. There is a fantastic butcher/grocery shop walking distance from the Condos and a restaurant. Within four miles you can find grocery stores, restaurants, bars, liquor stores, bank machines and a gas station. You can purchase souvenirs at the Straw Market and other small stores in town. You can either rent a car or call a taxi.
As a guest at Driftwood, there are two kayaks for each Condo with life jackets provided. Snorkeling is always a great way to spend an afternoon, looking for myriads of fish in the crystal clear waters or swimming with the wild turtles that live in the bay. There is also a paddleboard. You can kayak from the beach right here to many small islands close to shore

How to get there
Driftwood Condos is on the island of Exuma in the Bahamas. Our airport is The Exuma International Airport, GGT. If you are coming from the US direct flights from the US to Exuma save time and problems.
From Atlanta, Delta has a direct flight to Exuma a couple times a week.
American Airlines flies directly to Exuma from Miami a couple of times a day and Charlotte more like weekly.
Continental flies from Fort Lauderdale.
Air Canada has direct flights from Toronto.
These are the faster ways to get to Exuma from the US.
Many airlines fly to Nassau. You can fly to Nassau then fly to Exuma with Bahamas Air or other local airlines but that often involves long layovers as there are only a few flights each day. If I fly thru Nassau, I try to leave 3 hours for the layover so I do not miss the flight to Exuma, it is easy to get held up getting luggage and going thru customs in Nassau and your flight into Nassau can easily be a little late. There is usually not another flight from Nassau to Exuma that day so you would have to spend the night in a hotel in Nassau pay the change fees and hope there is a morning flight with space on it for you the next day to come to Exuma.
Coming from Europe connecting thru Nassau can be a very good choice.
