The stunning interior of this unique barn-conversion is matched only by the uninterrupted views of the Severn Valley it affords. Wonderful old beams on both the ground and first floor, as well as cosy log burners make this spacious property warm and welcoming. Not overlooked, Gaer Hall has plenty of garden space for a kick about with the kids, for summer parties, or simply for sitting out and relaxing. On wet days there is also a large Sky TV with DVD player in the ground floor living/dining room, complete with reclining sofas and chairs. The first floor drawing room with its magnificent roof trusses and tasteful decor is perfect for entertaining family and friends, as well as relaxing with a book from our extensive collection. What a gorgeous location and a perfectly lovely host (Margaret). Many would find the prospect of six excitable children and six adults overtaking their property understandably overwhelming, but Margaret was seemingly un-phased. We were greeted with genuine warmth and given a friendly and informative tour...More

About the neighbourhood
Most outdoor activities are available within a short driving distance from Guilsfield, such as hiking (Rodney's Pillar is a particularly rewarding walk), cycling, pony-trekking, fishing and golf. Tennis courts can be found in Guilsfield village and water sports are available at Lake Vyrnwy and Bala Lake. For pleasant walks you don't even need to get in the car, as there are plenty of Woodland Trust footpaths around Gaerfawr to explore, which take you to the site of a Iron Age settlement. After an afternoon in the fresh air you might want to unwind in the beer gardens of one of our two village pubs, one of which has a children's' play area. Both are within easy walking distance of the property, so there's no need to worry about drinking and driving. Stag groups might want to have a go at...
How to get there
Gaer Hall is located just outside Guilsfield village on the B4392. After leaving the village (coming from the direction of Welshpool) the property is the next turning on the right, flanked by two post and rail paddocks. FROM WELSHPOOL: Head northwest on A458/Broad St toward New St. Continue to follow A458. At the roundabout by the Raven pub, take the 3rd exit onto A490. Continue until you see a sign for Guilsfield B4392 and turn right here. Passing the Derwyn Garden Centre on your right head through the village. At the the next junction after the primary school keep right. Continue past the Spar shop, and the turning for the property is on your right (flanked by two post and rail paddocks) shortly after you leave the village. FROM OSWESTRY: From the Mile End roundabout, head East toward...
