Interaction with guests
Some of our guests like help in planning their itinerary others like to browse the many brochures you will find in the cottage. There are two sets of brochures divided into 'dogs allowed' and 'sorry no dogs', we are happy to look up particular events and print off tickets etc. We try to fit the needs of the guests, guests decide the level of interaction they prefer. All guests will receive information we think maybe helpful on the way here, e.g. the postcodes of supermarkets you may want to visit as you get close, Internet website links etc.

About the neighbourhood
Situated in a quiet lane a few hundred yards from the A4151. All ground floor stone bungalow built to residential building specifications in 2013. Within walking distance of Elton fishing lakes, Elton Mazes and several other attractions. The Severn Bore is close by and whatever your interests there is always something to do. The historic city of Gloucester stages many events as do various venues in the Forest of Dean. Cycles and canoes are available for hire close by (dogs can go too) take it easy on one of the river cruises (either on the Severn or the Wye) or enjoy the view from one of the scenic train rides.
Getting around
The nearest major railway station is Gloucester, we do have guests that visit from afar that visit London for the day. We are within half an hour of Cheltenham, Chepstow, Monmouth, Gloucester and on the edge of all the attractions of the Forest of Dean. There is a bus stop about two hundred yards from the cottage but we recommend you bring a car. There is parking for several cars at the cottage. There is also secure storage for bikes.
