2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 4
Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, England
This gem of a cottage sits on a quiet road, overlooking the Kennet and Avon canal, yet is within easy walking distance of the pretty town centre of Bradford on Avon. There are many lovely walks or cycle paths from your doorstep. Take a boat trip along the canal or just wander through the old town and visit the interesting local shops. There is also a large park close by with tennis courts and childrens play areas. We have retained many original features in the property, including fireplaces, wooden panelling and quarry tiled kitchen, but the cottage has a modern feel. There is also free Wifi. We provide attractive linen and fresh towels, with good quality crockery and all the cooking equipment you would need. You have a private parking space next to the cottage and a pretty patio garden with BBQ for those warm summer evenings and you wil... Read more

Comfortable home and central to town and all facilities - Cafes, Train Station, Canal and Sainsbury super market. Interesting watching narrow boats on canal just 50 metres from Lock View Cottage. Always something to watch. Train travel to Bath under 15 minutes, Cardiff 90 minutes. Small courtyard with garden furniture, washing line and BBQ. Private parking on site.

We have just enjoyed a week in Lock View Cottage during the hottest days in June .We appreciated the cool lounge after some great walks along the canal and river easily within reach of the cottage . The bedrooms were attractively furnished with comfortable beds and quality linen. The walled garden was a special delight and where we spent a...

We spent a long weekend with our two children here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This lovely cottage made us feel at home immediately and is very well equipped and lovingly restored. While it has its own parking space the car wasn't needed at all, as everything is within a few minutes' walk and the town offers so much to do....

Additional amenities & feature info
We take great care of this lovely cottage - all the rooms are well furnished and equipped, and we personally check the cleaning and preparation for our guests, to make sure it is up to our high standard. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms and a spotless bathroom, with a good shower. The twin room has an original cast iron fireplace, wooden panelling and views over the canal and town. The double bedroom is on the second floor and has original beams and far reaching views. The quarry tiled kitchen/diner is cosy and well equipped, and the sitting room has leather sofas and a stove style electric fire for extra warmth. You will find the location of this little cottage hard to beat.
