Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

Fantastic holiday
We have just returned from a week's stay at Hawley farm and what a fantastic time we had. We stayed in The Wagon house. It was fantastic it had everything you need to make it feel like home. We were two couples and had two dogs and there was plenty off room for us all. Pamela and Graham are fantastic hosts and make sure you are well looked after. You could even milk the cows but we ran out of time. Next time. Graham recommended a few places to eat out one was Sidmouth Arms in Upottery so lovely we went twice. Loved it so much we have already booked for next year. Thank you Pamela and Graham.

Beautiful stay
This is our 2nd visit and it was just a wonderful as the first. This time we stayed at The Stables. The accommodation was outstanding, clean, modern and spacious, everything you would need. TVs in each room, Netflix if wanted a good movie after a busy day. The beds were comfortable and the en suite bathrooms were clean and modern. Lovely walks from your front door through, magical pathways , some fields had sheep, cows , put the dogs on leads not a problem. The views of Devon from the fields were stunning. Seaton beach was 20 mins or so along with Branscombe and Beer, Lyme Regis a little further. Lots of lovely restaurants to hand serving good local meals. It was so peaceful here you could here the birds singing, very relaxing. A big thank you to Graham and Pamela as always very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Homemade scones on arrival , they were delicious. We will be back because of the wonderful accommodation, area and the lovely owners.

Fabulous converted barn cottage!
The Stables cottage is in an excellent location for easy access to the Lyme Regis and the spectacular views of the Jurassic coast as well as excellent local walks right from the doorstep. The cottage is beautifully presented and well kitted out for sleeping, relaxing and cooking. We were very comfortable enjoying the views from the cottage and loved being able to walk across the fields down to the lovely Dalwood village. Pamela and Graham were great hosts who provided us with lovely special treats on arrival and were available to answer any queries we had.

Comfortable, characterful, clean and beautifully presented.
Conveniently located but secluded, the conversion of the buildings has been carried out with care and sympathy and to a very high standard. The accommodation was great - spacious clean and comfortable and comprehensively equipped. Booking was straightforward and the owners helpful and friendly.

A superb place to stay.
A beautiful location . The Stables must be one of the best holiday cottages that we have stayed in. I booked through Hawley Farm’s own website and would recommend that you do this. The cottage is very well appointed and very comfortable. There is a large kitchen, with a comfy sofa, a utility room and a very large bedroom, with a great wet room downstairs. Upstairs there is a lovely lounge with large, very comfy sofas, a family bathroom and another large en suite bedroom. There is plenty of space and the cottage is light and bright. The farm has so much to see and do in the local area, it is close to the coast and there are footpaths very close by. You also don’t have to travel very far to find some very good pubs. Our hosts were delightful and we enjoyed the welcoming cream tea. We loved the place, had a great week and certainly intend to return.

Fantastisch
We verbleven een week in The Stabels. Alles was aanwezig. Ruime woning met 3 badkamers! Perfect uitgerust met oven, microgolf, afwasmachine, droogkast.... Geweldig behulpzame eigenaars. BBQ werd op vraag geleverd. Millers Farm Shop is de ideale plaats om je inkopen te doen. Bedden waren zeer comfortabel, kortom een aanrader.

Great Stable conversion with lovely views
We were extremely lucky to be the first guests in Pamela & Grahams newly converted stable. We have lost count of how many times we have stayed at Hawley Farm, our daughters were ten and seven when we first came and now at seventeen and fourteen still look forward to our holidays in such a lovely area of Devon. The stable has been designed and finished for ultimate comfort whether a group of friends or Family it is a perfect base for and Holiday or short break. We have just booked a week in August !!

Perfect accommodation in a beautiful setting
The Stables are perfect if you are looking for excellent accommodation set amid the outstanding East Devon countryside, yet close to Lyme Regis and other coastal resorts. The owners make you feel welcome at the outset, with a Devon cream tea awaiting your arrival, and are happy to offer helpful advice about the area and even a look around the farm. The holiday let is immaculately clean, well equipped, spacious and with beds that made us want to lie in. The view and the setting is wonderful. We will definitely return. Thank you Pamela & Graham - our girls are still talking about their lovely holiday!

Luxurious quiet retreat
We had a lovely stay at The Stables at Hawley Farm. We were the third people to stay in this new property and it was beautifully finished. We were extremely happy with the presentation of the property. The location is excellent with loads to see and do nearby. Owners were lovely and very approachable. Very quiet location with stunning views. Three days was not long enough. We would love to return!

About the neighbourhood
The area is mostly green fields and country lanes with wild flowers. The roads are single track and can look narrow. It is good if you can reverse as this is what you will have to do when you meet another car. We are 1/2 mile from larger double track road that goes to the main road. The coast has many different beaches to chose from and also many other places of interest. Sight seeing and walking. From your door there are footpaths.
Getting around
A car is best to get around. Walking and bikes are also good you will see more, but will take longer.

How to get there
It is best to follow Google maps rather than some sat navs as some can take you the wrong way as others have the same postcode. Remember you are coming to Hawley Farm. We have a sign at the bottom of the road, on the bottom of a dead end sign. Please stay on the tarmac, the drive in is lined with large oak trees. We are hidden up behind them.
