Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Warm and welcoming cottage
We stayed in the Cider Press with our families and it was perfect for us. The cottage is warm with underfloor heating and a log burner, Pamela and Graham were very welcoming and the cottage has everything you could want for a lovely stay. The ' Beast from the East' curtailed our final day, but we visited Sidmouth, the donkey sanctuary, Lyme Regis and Dorchester during our few days, as well as a couple of local pubs. We will definitely return, hopefully in better weather

Perfect Cottage with Fantastic Hosts
We visited in February 2017 half term for a quiet week to relax. Our hosts were extremely welcoming, greeting us on arrival with a cream tea and a bottle of wine in the fridge. From the start they ensured that we had everything we needed for a perfect stay which exceeded our expectations by a mile and our daughter was able to join Pamela and Graham milking. The cottage is sparklingly clean, modern inside and equipped to an extremely high standard, lovely and warm with a log burner and under floor heating and fresh flowers were provided in all the rooms. The bedrooms are fabulous: beautiful furniture, comfortable beds, quality bed linen and televisions. The bathrooms are super with an en-suite wet room and a family bathroom with heated towel radiators and towels provided by the hosts. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and in addition there is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The living area is extremely comfortable and the view from the living area across the countryside is wonderful. We had a wonderful week which was made so, not just by the 5* accommodation but by the hosts who went that extra mile to ensure that our stay was perfect. We would recommend highly and hope to return many times.

Lovely upside down cottage!
We booked this trip fo a family get together, 5 adults. We were very impressed with the high standard of decor and comfort of the cottage. The hosts were also very helpful and kind. We had a fab 4 day break and all of us will be recommending a visit to other family and friends, we would definately book again!

Fantastic holiday cottage, very warm and welcoming hosts, highly recommended!
We stayed in the Wagon house and was very pleased with the cottage we stayed in, which had been finished to a high and modern standard with traditional features, including a wood burner. Slightly quirky as the main door enters halfway on the stairs. We were welcomed with homemade scones, which was a pleasant surprise. Everything was clean, with all the items you would expect to find in a holiday let. There is a lovely outdoor area, which I would have liked to use had the weather been warmer. It is a short drive/walkable distance to the village where there is a good pub for food and drinks. There were many places to walk, offering good views of the area. Had we been here in the summer, we would haver gone to the various beaches more which are just several !miles away. Pamela and Graham were very accommodating despite being busy with the Christmas period and gave us a tour of their farm. We wrre really pleased with our stay and think their wrbsite did not do the property justice and would love to come back again.

About the neighbourhood
East Devon has the Jurassic coast, which is great for fossil hunting on the beaches of Lyme Regis and Charmouth. The coast path is very popular. Also many other footpaths right from your door at the farm Holiday accommodation. The self catering barn is close to the village of Dalwood and you can walk through the fields to the pub for a drink or food. The Sidmouth folk festival happens in July, also Beer boat week, much fishing here also. Gardens of Ford Abbey and Burrow farm. Food at Hugh F HQ also many others. Trains at Pecorama and Crealy adventure park for the children. Dartmoor and Exeter would be good to see.
Getting around
The best way to see the area is by driving a car, riding a bike or walking. Buses will only travel the main routes at certain times. The train station at Honiton and Axminster are on the Waterloo line into London.
