Fine sandy beach at Castlecove 5 miles and Derrynane (blue flag beach with lifeguard) 8 miles. Gleesk Pier 3 miles. Ideal location for touring or walking the Kerry Way on the doorstep. What a lovely cottage this is set on a hillside beside a meadow of sheep. It is a quintessential country cottage of a bygone era which has all the comforts of a modern dwelling. We so enjoyed being transported in time and atmosphere. The kitchen was well equipped with everything contained therein being in good, serviceable order. During our 3 week stay we prepared many meals for ourselves and with ease. A separate lounge area was very comfortable and cosy for TV or reading. The lounge and chairs were very comfortable which is not always the case in rented properties. Upstairs were two bedrooms and the bathroom. The shower was hot and strong and the bathroom heated up very quickly with a wall mounted heater. And what a lovely view over the sheep fields from there!!! Our double bed was comfortable and although the bedroom was not huge it was most adequate. The second bedroom had two single beds but as we are only a couple we used this room to spread out and stored our luggage...
