Next to the road but shielded by hedges, it even has sea views! You are at the tip of the strikingly beautiful Sheep's Head peninsula, a paradise for walkers, and we couldn't better poet Seamus Heaney's description: 'Things found clean on their own shapes; water and ground in their extremity.' Laharandota was the house of an artist for many years; it still shows. Everything inside is in the best possible taste and breathes a generous spirit: a wonderful kitchen with big Rayburn stove, art, objets and a fabulous hamper, a claw-foot bath, a glasswalled sun room, nooks, crannies and a rustic fireplace that roars in winter. Next door's studio, often rented to the same party, provides comforts on a reduced scale, but the light, the art, the sea views are the same. Hike a part of the Sheep's Head Way: 'the best walk in Ireland' says Country Walking magazine. Head for the lighthouse, look out for choughs and peregrines. Shops and restaurants are a short drive away, lovely Bantry Town and sandy Barleycove beach are not much further. Inspirational.'

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

Beautiful- luxury on the edge of the Atlantic
We loved our break in the artist's studio, it was complete escapism on the edge of the Atlantic. Stunning location, fabulous views and beautiful scenic walks nearby. The studio itself is like something from an interior's magazine, we were seriously impressed by the style and attention to detail. It was simply beautiful, while compact it never felt small, it was comfortable, clean and had every amenity one could want at hand. The views were spectacular and the pool was a huge plus. We were thrilled dogs were permitted as our dog is very much part of our family, she had a ball on her holiday. Our one year old loved it too and they very kindly provided a high chair, travel cot and baby bath for him. The holiday provided complete escapism in an amazing location. The studio was spotless, comfortable and beautiful with lots of little touches. The view over the pool to the sea was pure luxury. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Fabulous getaway in picturesque seclusion
A beautiful property over looking Dunmaus bay which can be viewed along with the Mizen peninsula from the bedroom balcony and the sun-room downstairs. The property is located on the beautiful Sheepshead peninsula just a few kilometers from the Sheephead Lighthouse to the West and Kilcrohane to the East. The Sheepshead is a walker/hikers paradise. The property is immaculately styled and kept both inside and out and with the added bonus of your own swimming pool (shared with the adjacent lodge next door). A chilly outdoor pool (it is Ireland) but a must for a morning dip regardless of the weather. The Studio is small but perfect for us (2 adults, 1 infant and a dog). If you need larger then the adjacent lodge (part of the same site) also looks fantastic. The owners is UK based with a local caretaker but is always available to help and very responsive and the attention to detail really make this holiday home a refreshing luxury stay in one of the most beautiful corners of the world in my opinion. Could not find any fault with our stay - except maybe that we didn't stay long enough.

A dream !
A dream ! A piece of heaven in West Cork. I am truly in love with Julie and Alessandro ’s place. I read this guest review on AirBNB before my stay : “Splendid isolation, breathtaking landscape and the most unique and stylish interior I've ever seen in my life”, and I definitely confirm it. There is this warm and peaceful atmosphere everywhere in the cottage, making us just feel relaxed and inspired. This little hideway is such in keeping with its rugged natural setting. A real attention is brought to all the details from the great and high quality furniture and linens, the biological and local products, the eco body care, to the stunning and well placed art work. Julie and Alessandro are the loveliest, most caring people and hosts, spreading the warmth and light of hospitality at its highest level. Everything from start to finish with the booking was so professional. They provide all the information and support about the surrounding area necessary to make the getaway amazing. The Sheep’s Head Peninsula is a hidden gem with numerous great walks overlooking the sea cliffs and with spectacular views. What else to say? A wonderful location, superb hosts and a breathtaking scenery. The bar is high in this accommodation second to none. I can not recommend it enough. I’ll be back for sure.

Beautiful studio in idyllic setting
We have visited West Cork numerous times over the years, but this is by far the best place we have stayed. If you want peace, tranquility & amazing views this is the place for you. The studio itself was full of character and tastefully furnished with quality fittings. Beautiful bed linen in one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. Can't imagine staying anywhere else when we next visit West Cork!!

5-star property
We had an excellent time in the Artist’s studio, it was so well laid out and the attention to detail was amazing. We loved having breakfast in the sun room and the views from the bedroom are breathtaking. Without doubt this was a 5-star property and we will be back every year!!

Tastefully furnished, very comfortable studio cottage in a beautiful isolated setting.
Lovely studio for 2 adults on the fantastic Sheeps Head peninsula near to Bantry in West Cork. Spectacular setting with excellent views. The studio is furnished in a rustic style to a very high standard. The kitchen is basic compared to the adjacent cottage, but is adequate. A wood/peat burning stove provides extra heat on cold evenings. A well lit sitting room with lovely daybed provides a comfortable daytime retreat. There are plenty of lovely walks in the area, and much to see within driving distance. Very helpful owner.

Amazing place
We are not long back from one of the most relaxing trips we have ever been on. We honeymooned on mainland Europe last summer and so decided to explore Ireland this year. This beautiful studio fits in with this stunning part of Ireland. It was well-equipped, tastefully decorated and very homely. The views from the bedroom window are something else. A couple of nights we opened the French doors just to gaze at the moon. The pool was a very welcome addition on warm days. We took - day trips to kinsale and the ring of beara - afternoon trips to Bantry house, the sheeps head lighthouse and the Heron gallery run by annabel and lisa langrish - evening trips to Gougane Barra, Glengariff and Arundels in ahakista We're just sorry that we didn't have time to explore all of the galleries, walks and restaurants. The locals were very friendly and the food was great. We didn't want to go home!
