The Farmhouse is set in 7 acres of meadows and woodland and is the perfect choice for those seeking peace and tranquility. The 10m by 5m swimming pool is for the exclusive use of guests and is completely private. It is situated in the south facing back garden, well placed to enjoy sun all day whilst relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. There are plenty of outside eating areas, in sun or in shade. There is a large lawn area and neighbouring meadow and woods to explore. We have stayed at this beautiful large farmhouse, set in substantial, private rural grounds several times over the years and never once failed to enjoy ourselves. The house maintains many period features whilst offering a very comfortable and homely feel. The kitchen is fully equipped for easy entertaining and catering and the bedrooms are huge and sympathetically furnished with freshly laundered quality linen and comfortable beds. The swimming pool is maintained to a very high standard and more than big enough for just a dip. There is plenty of outdoor furniture to utlise around the pool or to eat in the shade or sun and a raised patio area off the kitchen offers a large table and chairs for breakfast or an evening BBQ. We have spent many a starlight night in one of the lower fields star gazing and toasting sausages with the children.

Arrival and departure days are restricted to Saturdays from June through to August but are flexible during lower season. Please contact us for details. Rental rates are for the whole house for up to 8 people for seven nights. An extra £20 per person per week will be charged for any occupation above 8. Prices are inclusive of all electricity, gas, water, linen and towels (except £50 per week charge for fuel between Nov and March). Guests are requested to bring their own towels for the pool area. A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking. Final payment is required 8 weeks prior to arrival date and should include an additional £250 security deposit which will be refunded upon confirmation that the property has been left in a good and clean condition. We recommend you take out appropriate insurance to cover the duration of your holiday.

St Pierre de Frugie is the local village which is a few kms away, a pleasant walk through woodland and beautiful countryside. There is a bar and an old church. The fete in late July is not to be missed.

Airport: Limoges: 40.0 km
Midway between Limoges and Perigueux, the house is 2 km away from the beautiful village of St. Pierre de Frugie. Nearby are the towns of La Coquille and Chalus - where Richard the Lionheart was fatally wounded. The prehistoric caves at Les Eyzies and old towns such as Rocamadour, Bergerac and St. Emilion are within reasonable distance. The farmhouse is set within Parc Naturel du Perigord-Limousin with beautiful countryside all around.<BR><BR>You can fly to Limoges airport with Ryanair or Flybe from many local airports in the UK. This is about 40 minutes drive away. Alternatively you can drive from Calais within about 7 hours.<BR><BR>
