Mid Bishopton Cottage is situated in the heart of South West Scotland in the small town of Whithorn. The Cottage with its light and airy decor offers a luxury and relaxing escape from reality. All linen and towels are provided. WiFi is available. We are dog and family friendly with a secure garden and a private hot tub.

The cottage is warm, cosy and well-equipped; and much bigger than it looks from the outside! Lynsay made us and our dog, Jack, very welcome. We loved meeting the horses, dogs(Harris and Amber) and the cows/calves on the farm. The location was perfect for us...More

Lovely week spent at whithorn, the cottage is deceptively large inside, it looks rather strange from the outside with the flat roof but once the door is opened it's been furnished beautifully. An added bonus is the owners horses which are so friendly and a...More

About the neighbourhood
Whithorn is a quiet town with no more than 600 residents. There is a local shop, doctor surgery, vets, post office and a few tea rooms to enjoy, it is not far from St Ninian's cave and a stone throw away from the beautiful undiscovered Rhins.
Getting around
It is suggested that holiday makers bring their own form of transport. There are buses however and details are available at the cottage.

Airport: Glasgow International : 175.0 km
Railway: Dumfries Station : 100.0 km
Ferry: Cairn Ryan Ferry: 53.0 km
If arriving from South head towards Carlisle, take Gretna Exit and head towards Dumfries, once at Dumfries head towards Castle Douglas then bypass towards Stranraer. Once at Newton Stewart roundabout take first exit on your left towards Wigtown, Before Wigtown turn right signposted Kirkinner, past the Bladnoch Inn, over the bridge. Straight through Kirkinner and Sorbie, to enter Whithorn. Take the first road on your right (before police station) B7021, 1/2 mile up the road take the first entrance on your right Mid Bishopton Cottage, If you pass by large cow sheds (New Bishopton) you have gone to far.
