Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Lovely quiet site
What a fabulous site, privately run with care and very relaxed. Clean toilets and showers, laundry room, pot wash and even somewhere to wash your pooch. Pitches are huge and a great price. Fabulous for woodland exploring as this is right on the edge of a forest full of wildlife. The site is very remote so do make sure you stock up before you park up if you don’t plan to drive anywhere. Nearest shop is about 10 minutes drive away, but once you’re prepared and set up you can just chill.

Fabulous site, peaceful break away
We have just returned for a weekend at Kings Forest Caravan Park and had to leave a review. Host Jane met us and showed us to our pitch, made sure we had everything we need and was a wealth of information regarding the surrounding area and amenities. We found that the pitches were really spacious compared to some we have been on. The facilities were immaculate and regularly maintained by staff onsite. Very dog friendly which is plus for us and with the 7mile forest right on the doorstep it was all that we needed for a quick break away! Highly recommend this site to anyone and we will definitely be back. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant!

Hidden Gem
What a Lovely touring site Wow! came across this site last year in our motorhome and we have been to many over the years but already this is one of our favorites. We have returned from an 8 day stay ona a very large spacious pitches with hook up and water taps spread around site. The shower block and loos are clean with plenty hot water The site itself is Very well kept peaceful and tranquil. To us it’s like staying on a ranch especially as there are horses on site. Dog friendly with great forest walks right from the site Fab bike trails and an added bonus is the anglo-Saxon settlement cross the road with a lovely lake walk with a cafe lots of wildlife to see. Adults only (lovely). Friendly and very accommodating owners nothing is to much trouble and they always on hand. Thank you Jane and Lee for another pleasant stay

Beautiful peaceful camp site on the forest edge
We only live half an hour away, but wanted to book a little getaway for a couple of nights in our tent and for the last camping trip of the year. Pitches were well spaced out and clearly marked, and the site was spotlessly clean, flat pitches and very peaceful. The showers and toilets were clean and hand gel was a plenty. The only thing we did miss was having a hand basin in the toilets, but it wasn’t too much of an issue as there was hot water available in the shower block just around the corner and hand sanitiser in each toilet. Being so close to the forest edge it’s a walkers paradise, reminded me of being in the New Forest, it’s beautiful and there are also otters in the nearby river (although good luck spotting them) West Stowe Anglo Saxon village is worth a look too, although we kept to the trails and didn’t pay to go in. We are hoping to visit again another time, we really did enjoy ourselves and it was such a nice and peaceful site. What a little hidden gem we found. The owners and there dog was also lovely!

Excellent stay, no buts!!
Stayed here for four nights with our M/home on our UK tour and found this to be a hidden gem. We have stayed in many many sites both UK and mainland Europe and we found this to be an instant hit with us, the facilities were spotlessly clean and lots of nice little touches thrown in. Heated dog wash, huge pitches and a very friendly, relaxed greeting from the owner Jane has put this as a place worth staying. Amazing forest walks right beside you, peaceful, quiet site for a very reasonable price. Changed our travel plans and are going back for another few days to finish off our holiday as we want to finish on a high, it is, that good.

Enjoyed our stay BUT!!!!
We stayed as a touring unit. The site is on the doorstep of the Forest and brilliant for walking and cycling of which we did both. Pitches are large and you get to choose your own. The site looks welcoming and kept to a high standard but the same cannot be said for the cleanliness of the toilets and showers they was disgusting!!! during our 7 day stay we did not see them being cleaned on a regular bases and during covid that is worrying and for this reason we would not return.

Weekend break with horses
A lovely clean, friendly and quiet site. Lovely walks in forest or around lake. Level pitches with plenty of space. Toilets clean and smelt fresh too. Showers out of use due COVID but we use our own anyway. Owners friendly and helpful, always around but in a discrete way. No children allowed. All looks very new/renovated. Some work going on (poss log cabins) but no noise from it. Lovely stables, paddocks and ménage Next time will bring the horse too. No pub/shop within walking distance but a cafe in the Anglo Saxon country park opposite. Thank you, a lovely break.

About the neighbourhood
If you want to explore further afield The Anglo Saxon Centre and Country Park is just opposite and Lackford Lakes and Suffolk Wildlife Trust Centre is just a short drive away. The medieval town of Bury St Edmunds has a museum and new Arc Shopping Centre, Abbey Gardens and the Cathedral, something there for everyone, and there is plenty of places to eat or just watch the world go by while you sit back! The racing town of Newmarket is just 12 miles away, get up early and watch the strings of racehorses go out for their morning exercise, a sight to behold. If you are National Trust enthusiast, Ickworth House and Wimpole Hall are a small journey away.
Getting around
A car is essential as we are outside the village. West Stow village does not offer anything in the way of Pubs or places to eat unfortunately. We do give a our guest a Local Guide to Places to Eat, Drink and things to do all within a 10 minute drive.
