A return visit to this beautiful house!! Such a lovely weekend with so many gorgeous beaches close by even in the wintery months. Kids loved exploring whilst walking from the house to llanbedrog beach. 2 dog friendly family pubs in walking distance! The house has an amazing set up to chill with drinks in the bar area, & play numerous games of killer on the pool table. The grounds of this house are simply stunning and can look be appreciated from the front bedroom windows with full view 😍 We will most certainly be returning 🥰

Midweek break
Stayed with friends for a midweek break, lovely house, very well equipped, clean and welcoming, spotless bedding and towels, and nice and warm. Very private, Samantha is easy to contact if needed but let's you get on with it. Beautiful gardens, spar and pub short walk away. Very central for walking, we done parts of coastal path and walked along the beach to abersoch. Perfect place to relax

Great place for a family gathering. Good location
We stayed at Glynllifon for a week from 6th August 2022. It was our annual get together of our six grandchildren, parents and granny and grandad. The house was perfect for our purposes and was clean and well presented when we arrived with all the facilities described to us earlier. The children had a wonderful time both outside in the garden, inside in the spacious lounge with pool table and television. The smaller room with a bar was an excellent hideaway for the parents when necessary! Wi-Fi very strong. Good kitchen with plenty of facilities and a dining table to accommodate us all for family meals. We were fortunate with the wonderful weather and spent lots of time on the Llanbedrog beach. We had brought sailboards canoes etc which could be assembled and disassembled in the garden and on the beach. Access to the beach was great either a 12 minute walk or parking in the National Trust car park. Great beach bar for Granny and Grandad. Some lovely walks from the house which are a bit uphill but the Ship Inn is at the top of one of the walks.
An excellent place to rent for a large gathering which we would recommend.

Seaside holiday with luxury accommodation
The house proved perfect for our first holiday after lockdown and the first full family gathering since I don’t know when. The bedrooms were roomy and easily accommodated children and adults alike. The living areas were well laid out and furnished. The pool table was in constant use so a very successful inclusion. The kitchen was very well appointed and provided the opportunity for some big family meals. The grounds and overall location not far from a fabulous beach gave us a very relaxed vacation and we look forward to going back. The new owners made us very welcome.

Fantastic stay
We stayed over the Easter weekend and had a fantastic time...great location, walking distance to Llanbedrog beach & close to Abersoch town. Theres a shop & pharmacy less than a 5min walk away as well as a pub serving food. We had a BBQ at the house one evening which we got to enjoy within the beautiful grounds, so picturesque!! Rooms were a great size, spotless and with some gorgeous views. This house is ideal for large groups, we were amongst friends & family with children and it was spot on 👌 we will 100% be back 😊

Excellent location
I recently spent a week at Glynllifon house with my family. Before our visit, we were a little disconcerted by a previous review which we hadn’t spotted before booking. The review related to the previous owner and suggested they were less than accommodating. I haven’t met the original owners, so I cannot comment. However, as we were due to arrive, the house changed hands, and we were met by the new owner, who was friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The house was clean and well maintained, and the lawn provided a safe play area for the grandchildren. The location is excellent, with two pubs close by both serving food, A small Spar and a pharmacy within walking distance.
The local beach also within walking distance is lovely. A two minute drive to the west is the picturesque fishing village of Abersoch. Pwllheli, with larger supermarkets, is just 5 miles to the east.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would recommend this property.

Amazing stay
Well what can I say. What an amazing property with beautiful grounds. We had a fantastic stay over Easter weekend. The house is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is a great lay out for cooking for lots of people . The bedrooms are lovely and some are en-suite. We had a gorgeous view of the amazing grounds from our room.
It’s the perfect house for a large group. There’s even a bar.
It’s in a fantastic location. Only a few minutes from llanbedrog beach and close to Abersoch too.
I would highly recommend the property. I’ll definitely be rebooking in the future.

Surreal experience (not in a good way!)
Before booking this house we read a slightly disconcerting review on here detailing some controlling behaviour by the owners which made us have some misgivings. Unfortunately this house was all that was available so we went ahead. Our concerns however, proved to be valid….
We stayed at this house in June 2021. The conduct of the owners may well put you off booking, and means we certainly won’t be recommending this house to anyone.
After informing them we had a small campervan that is our daily vehicle, and would be bringing this, but made it clear we wouldn’t be camping in it, or exceeding the agreed number of guests as per their Ts & C’s, they attempted to cancel our booking with approximately four hours notice. Two of our party were already in Abersoch, wondering where they could stay instead. Two elderly members of the party had to park in a lay-by and wait for instructions, whilst the others were unsure if their holiday was to go ahead. Nothing like this has ever happened in the many years we've been staying in holiday homes. We didn’t realise owners had the power to do this, but we’d strongly advise any potential renters to make sure you have alternative accommodation arranged in case they try and pull the carpet from under you like they tried to do to us.
We tried to speak to the owner directly on the day to sort things out but unfortunately they hung up on us mid-conversation.…
Thanks to Trip Advisor, they managed to persuade the owners to go ahead after much uncertainty and stress. The owners even tried to increase the damage deposit on the day to £1000.
Once at the house, it could be described as ‘fine’, but we didn’t find any kind of ‘welcome’ pack or information. Again, the sense of mistrust and ill-feeling pervaded the place, thanks to numerous instructional messages placed in various rooms informing us of their do’s and don’ts, with written potential charges this would incur.
We need to leave this review because sadly there hasn’t been a word of apology or gesture of goodwill from them for the tainted start to our holiday due to all the stress and uncertainty.
Thanks to great beaches and great company we made the best of it and had a fab time but please take our story as a word of caution. I’m sure the owners will reply with more excuses rather than making up for their behaviour but we would warn you off.

Fabulous!
Lovely house & gardens. Plenty of room for a large group. Short walk to local pub, well stocked shop, beach & an amazing gallery. Jitty was an attentive & very helpful host. Highly recommended.

The Llyn Penisular, particularly the Abersoch area has its own micro climate. It is a very popular seaside resort with thousands of visitors during the summer months, but is now also seen as a place to visit all year round. The nearest town is Pwllheli with Supermarkets and a Leisure Centre where you can enjoy the facilities of tennis, swimming, squash etc. There are plenty of beaches nearby. You can walk to 2 beaches and 2 pubs. The area is also renowned for its golf courses - Abersoch, Nefyn and Pwllheli, its walking, hiking and cycling along the coastal paths. There is paddle boarding, Go-Karting, Horse Riding and ZipWorld only 45 mins. Abersoch and Pwllheli only 6 mins by car and there is a bus from outside the house.
Getting around
If you would like to get out and about and explore the local area having a car will help you to make the most of your stay. The welcome pack in the house will have details of taxi firms, restaurants and walks. The beach and pubs are within walking distance.

The easiest way to the house is by car and it is situated on the main A499, continue through Llanbedrog village on the Abersoch road, the house is on the left at a sharp bend. At this bend slow down as the entrance is on the left approx. 200 yards further down.
