The property was great and Andrea was very accommodating and helpful. Convenient access to a number of lovely villages to explore as well as to Carcassonne itself. The bar nearby was an added bonus! Views from the terrace do not disappoint.

About the neighbourhood
Local Information:The house is located on the border of the Corbieres and Minervois wine regions, so there are plenty of opportunities to take a guided wine tour or simply visit local producers to taste and purchase excellent local wines.Just 15 mins away is the medieval Cité de Carcassonne, a Unesco heritage site and an absolute must-see! 52 towers and two rings of fortified walls surround a bustling town with small, narrow cobbled streets lined with restaurants and boutique shops. The beautiful Canal du Midi is just a 5 minute stroll from the house. You can take a guided cruise or hire your own boat by the hour or day. The tree-lined canal tow paths are great for cycling due to the flat terrain (6 bikes are available for hire) or try venturing down the Etang de Marseillette behind the Can...
