About the neighbourhood
St.Ishmael's is a small community village in the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Situated on the Dale Peninsula at the southern end of St.Brides Bay with easy access to all that parks beauty and rustic charm. The village boasts a great little pub, open all year and serving simple tasty pub food. A short walk from Yr Hen Ardd down the valley you'll find St.Ishmaels church and a wooded valley leading to remote Monks Haven. A short walk to the cricket club at the other end of the village leads you to the well-kept play park and on to the coastal path viewpoint via an accessible tarmac path. Beyond the viewpoint you'll find the stunning and hardly known Lindsway Beach. Here the coastal path leads towards Sandy Haven or Dale.
Getting around
A car is essential. Although there is a bus stop in the village which provides access to larger settlements, these are not very frequent. Local taxi available from Marloes nearby. Easy access to Milford Haven or Haverfordwest provides shopping options with supermarkets in both and further away in Pembroke and a good retail park at Haverfordwest. Follow the coastal roads to Dale and Marloes Sands or head further north passing many havens and stunning beaches such as Newgale on the way to the Cathedral city of St.Davids or south over the bridge at Pembroke for Tenby and Saundersfoot and the beautiful beaches of Freshwater, Broad Haven South and the Bosherston Estate. There are plenty of tourist activities within travelling distance.
