Best accommodation for a hen do of 20!
The Smokeham farm was perfect for a Hen do weekend of 20! The accommodation had everything we needed and was super spacious and clean!
The interior and design was to a high standard and every room was perfect.
Paula and those at woodlands retreat have been super helpful with the detail and booking process.
Would definitely recommend!

A fantastic property for a memorable 40th.
Stayed here for my 40th birthday. We had a simply amazing time. Property, location, service, view, facilities all top notch and it was perfect. A birthday to remember in a property to remember. Awesome.

Amazing house for large groups
We've just come back from 20 of us staying here to celebrate my mums 60th birthday. We were blown away by how beautiful the house is the grounds the animals surrounding it! It really is the best place I've stayed! The whole house is so well equipped and beautifully decorated every room was gorgeous!.. We all enjoyed the hot tub throughout the weekend. The kitchen was such a lovely social place to cook and eat. I could not fault Woodlands retreat and their help throughout any question I had they could answer so easily!... I've recommended smokeham farmhouse to friends and family since coming home and would definitely look to book again!

Fab place but
While our family had a fabulous 3 day stay , it was a shame that there was no outside play area for children , a wooden frame set would be a great asset and also some form of outside heater for the evenings . And also it’s not completely safe for children or dogs as the property is not fenced in . These items would make such a difference . Also a mention of the roads , they are so narrow it’s quite difficult and frightening , I saw 3 bad accidents and my car now has a scratch right down one side due to a narrow one car lane .

Doesn't get much better than this!
I was in charge of organising my best friends hen do and her wish list was a house, with a hot tub in the middle of no where! Smokeham Farm ticked every single one of those boxes and some. The drive up through the field to the house instantly blows you away. To say the property is stunning is an understatement. We stayed in all the bedrooms which were beautiful. Partied all weekend in the huge kitchen, sang in the hot tub and laughed in the massive lounge upstairs. We all said we couldn't of stayed in a more perfect property. It really has the wow factor. Great communication with woodland retreats will 100% recommend them to anyone and hope to use them myself again one day. We all had the best weekend ever. Also a shout out to the rising sun pub about 40min walk away, great people and yummy food.

Smokeham Farm really is the perfect large house for a hen party so we are glad that you discovered it and had such a good weekend. You will have to find another reason to come back and stay either there or at one of our other properties again soon.

A wonderful hen do
This property really had the ‘wow’ factor. We had the best weekend and I would highly recommend this house to anyone that has a lot of guests and wants the perfect base and setting!

Incredible Luxury Weekend Retreat!
We booked this venue as a base for our work Christmas Party Weekend. The team, especially Tiger who i dealt with throughout the booking process and stay was amazing. She was very knowledgeable, easilty contactable and transparent. The house is in an amazing remote location and absolutely stunning. There were 18 of us, 2 per room in the 9 double rooms. All en-suite which is rare and was extremeley handy. Even though we had a big party, the house is so big it didnt feel crammed at all. There was enough space for all us to eat together and a huge fully equipped living space that was perfect for the weekend activites we had planned. On top of this, an extra bonus was an incredible outdoor area, including large seating space, and jacuzzi, along with lots of grounds to explore. The place was Pet friendly and we couldnt have asked for anything better and all had an amazing weekend. We would 100% recommend this to any large groups looking for a luxury stay out in the country. Truly superb. Im sure we will be back again soon.

Fabulous Weekend Reyreat
Special birthday weekend made more special in this stunning farmhouse. Well equiped to a high standard and in a lovely location. Weather was aweful but that didn't detract from this fabulous location.

Perfect! A fantastic location and a beautifully modernised and equipped house.
The view is spectacular and the walks on the Quantocks were great. I was brought up at Smokeham and my parents lived there for nearly 50 years. The house has been very tastefully developed and is really well appointed. It was just perfect for a relaxing family stay and enabled us to reacquaint ourselves with the area - especially Dunster, our favourite haunt. The Bicknoller Inn has a great Sunday carvery but book early!
