The high arched ceilings and the open living, dining and kitchen area floor plan are so impressive you may just sit and gasp at this scene for a long while before exploring the rest of the house. In fact, our guests love just relaxing and taking in the views from the chaise lounge which is strategically positioned in the family room, right next to the wrap around glass doors - the best seat in the house. This seat overlooks the glimmering pool, with views of three volcanic mountain ranges – Kohala, Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea – plus a panoramic view of turquoise and blue ocean and a seemingly never-ending coast line. Simply breath-taking. EXPANSIVE OUTDOOR LIVING AREA with POOL & JACUZZI This home has an expansive outdoor living area, which is great for entertaining. A 6' foot deep swimming pool and Jacuzzi spa are ready for your enjoyment by day or night (both lit at night). You will have access to pool toys, floating loungers, & more for. OPTIMAL HOME LAYOUT with WELL APPOINTED ROOMS – Sleeps 8+ All 3 bedrooms are large rooms with impressive vaulted ceilings. The master bath features a deep soaking jetted bathtub, his & her sinks, and a separate walk-in shower. You can see the amazing views of 4 volcanic mountains and the ocean from INSIDE the tub. In the huge master closet, there is a Crib/Toddler bed for parents who prefer having their children sleep close. The 2nd bdrm has a Queen bed, plus a 24' futon in a loft, accommodating 1 adult or two kids. The 3rd bdrm has 2 Twin XLs which can be combined to make a Std. King. About the neighbourhood
This is a prestigious residential community with multi-million dollar homes. It is extremely quiet and peaceful. Just down the hwy there are about 4 restaurants that cater to locals as well as tourists, along with a kayak and other water sport rental shop. It's close (10-15 minutes) to the 5 star man made beaches like Mauna Lani, Mauna Kea, Prince, Fairmont, and the Waikoloa Hilton and Marriott - public and connected to 5 star hotels which you have access to by Hawaii law. No beach is considered private. The beaches belong to everyone.
Getting around
You must rent a car. Public transportation is not like Oahu, and it part of the fun of the Big Island. You can drive and drive for hours and still see new things. The Volcano is exactly on the other side of the island from our home and it takes about 2 1/2 hours each way.
