This place is amazing!
We had the best weekend staying at Burrs Farm. We came for a 30th birthday party of 21 people and the house was more than big enough!
We were greeted by the hosts on arrival and they showed us around. The place had everything we could possibly need. It was extremely well equipped in the kitchen - lots of glasses and mugs and plates etc! The beds were extremely comfy and the place was warm and cosy. The kitchen is absolutely huge and this is where we spent most of our time. The pool table is a welcome addition! The hot tub is big and has a great view of the countryside. Also the location is great and it was only £18 for a taxi into Buxton.
I will 100% be returning here - one of the best houses I've stayed in!

Perfect weekend
Our stay at Burrs Farm was perfect from start to finish. 14 of us stayed for my stag weekend, which ended up being better than I could have ever hoped for. We were greeted on arrival by Annie and Marie who were extremely friendly and welcoming. Marie gave us a tour of the house, grounds and explained how everything worked including the hot tub and Aga cooker, which was all really useful. Marie also had great knowledge of the surrounding area and was happy to explain the quickest route to chelmorton and the church inn pub. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, all of the bedrooms were a good size and everyone said they had a really good night's sleep while we were there. We were mainly based in the kitchen area which was huge with lots of seating and big doors that opened to the patio area. The games room was great, the pool table is of a good standard and was a great addition to the weekend. The hot tub was big and well looked after, it was a great way to start the Saturday morning looking out across the countryside view. The footgolf course is well looked after and was really good fun. The local Church Inn Pub was a 20 minute walk away via a safe walking path, the food and atmosphere at the pub was top notch and would definitely recommend to anyone that stays at Burrs Farm. There are three walks from the Church Inn Pub, we did the shorter of the three on Saturday morning which was great and finished back at the pub for few beers to rehydrate. Annie came and met us on check out and again was extremely friendly. Our deposit was returned to us as soon as I sent my account details across to Annie, which was brilliant. To sum up, I would highly recommend staying at Burrs Farm, we will definitely stay again the next time we all meet up for a weekend away. Thank you Annie and Marie.

Fabulous stay at Burrs Farm
We had a great break at Burrs Farm. Really spotless cottage and friendly, helpful owner. Loved the hot-tub which had unlike some cottages that we have stayed at, was properly prepared and crystal clear. We'll certainly be going back with the same group of friends, loads to do locally that we couldn't get to in a short break.

Owner is a con artist
Great weeekend ruined by withhold of deposit asking owner lies about hot tub and other things, no regards to the person that paid £500 deposit and now is out of pocket.
Lovely weekend ruined by greedy people. Don’t book if you can’t afford to be £500 down cause you will be. 😡

Dear Belle R, your review is totally misleading along with your friends in the same group leaving us multiple reviews. (Kirsty G & Penny Browny)
Your group came to the property and left the hot tub in a terrible state, as a result we deducted funds to pay for the additional extensive cleaning that had to be done in double quick time to make the property perfect for our next guests arriving that afternoon. We have in fact deducted only £250 of the damage deposit not the £500 as stated in your review , entirely proportionate to dealing with the vomit, fake tan and cigarettes found in the hot tub .We have photos of the damage and a screenshot from the lead guest (Kirsty G) stating they would pay a cleaning charge

kept our deposit for no reason
the stay was great but unfortunately the host has been very rude since we left and is making up reasons to keep the deposit. very unfortunate - would be careful when sending deposits to her. seems like she has done this before looking at previous reviews

DO NOT GO HERE
They insisted on a £500 deposit and although the house was left spotless they refused deposit due to dirty hot tub water!! I agreed on a cleaning payment but she was rude on phone ignored me and refused to send back the £500 for (dirty water) which should be emptied, cleaned and refilled after every guest (obviously isn’t) for it wasn’t even that clean when we got there.
I would not recommend!!! She had no intention on returning deposit and blamed it on dirty water, however it was a ‘damage deposit’ and no damage was actually done.

Burrs Farm
Good Morning
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review
First of all I would just like to clarify that's yes the water in the hot tub is cleaned in between each guests arrival and departure , this normally takes a fraction of the time , on a normal clean we empty the water , clean the hot tub , re full it and then it is switched on ready for the next arriving guests
However on your departure and inspection of the hot tub when you left we were disgusted at the state it was in with cigerette ends , fake tan residue and what looked like vomit stuck around the edges and in the filter , we have never had this before with our more respectful guests so therefore that is what the damages deposit is for , we quite clearly have a sign up stating the rules of the hot tub which were broken by yourselves such as no smoking in the hot tub and no fake tan or moisturiser In the hot tub , you did not respectfully adhere to any of these rules
The hot tub needed to be emptied and refilled a total of 4 times including a brand new filter to enable it to be at the safety standard needed for the next guests arriving later that day , as it took such a long , much extended time to clean than usual it was not ready for the guests to use on their arrival
We , along with many other larger rental homes do take a damages deposit from all of our guests and 98% of the time is returned straight back to the guests as they leave the house as they found it
We also usually take the damages deposit at the time of the final balance payment however you asked to pay it 2 weeks before your arrival which out of the goodness of our hearts we adhered too
You have also stated that you left the house spotless and I understand we all have different standards but our standards are far higher then that of the guests that stayed on your particular weekend as leaving rubbish and glasses in the bedrooms , spilt drink marks and pool cue marks all over the walls in the games room which the wall all has needed repainting - is not in our standards regarded as "spotless"
Kindest Regards

Perfect house in a beautiful location
We stayed at Burrs farm recently for my sisters hen do and we were blown away with how beautiful the property really is. It is set in an idillic location within a 10min drive to Buxton.
It housed 17 of us very comfortably, we never felt as though we were getting on top of each other, the property is so spacious!
I will definitely be recommending Burrs farm to family and friends and hope to return in the future. What a weekend!

Great find
Booked for a hen do of 19! Beautiful location and the garden/ foot golf area was really nice with so much outdoor space and parking. Hundreds of walking routes nearby. All the bedrooms were nice and spacious, lovely kitchen area and dining room. Nice and clean. The only downside was the small lounge area which only really seated 4 comfortably and might be an issue for families. We didn’t really need the lounge space as the the kitchen was plenty large enough for dancing around! Would highly recommend

Perfect spot for a relaxing break!
Cannot recommend Burrs farm highly enough. Plenty of space for us as a group (8 adults and 7 kids), kitchen is the best equipped we have stayed in, grounds are great for exploring and a perfect location for visiting Peak District tourist spots.
