The ideal place for off road , mind relaxing experience.

Very bad staff
The caretaker Ganesh is a liar and a cheat, he will rip you off and he is aggressive. STAY AWAY. The owners are also liars and if you use booking.com, will say you never checked in so you cannot tell the truth about how bad it is.

Not Kid friendly, lot of insects
We checked in on 19th May with a hope to have good, comfortable, clean and safe stay. Unfortunately, we faced many issues that forced us to vacate the next day morning (20th May).
Main Issue: The property does not have any fencing. As soon as you get out of the house, there is an immediate drop. Kids are very unsafe and cannot be left unmonitored (please see the photos on the website, it reveals a lot). The fact that this place is unsafe for kids should be highlighted on the website. When there are unseasonal rains, trust me, there are lots of insects. After 5 PM, the recommendation from Host is to lock all windows and switch off lights so that the insects don't come in (if that is your idea of a vacation, go for it).
Other minor issues: (Could be because when we went, the main caretaker was on leave)
1. No water in the bathrooms - Once the caretaker (replacement guy) left in the evening (he says he is a phone call away, but really???), the water stopped in all the bathroom. We struggled till the next day morning when 7 AM, when he came and switched on the motor.
2. Unclean Kitchen - We woke up in the night to give milk to the little one. What we found scared us. The kitchen was filled with cockroaches making their way into the stove, vegetables, water purifier, and fridge.
3. Unclean Toilets: The toilets were filled with ants & other insects. My kids were so terrified that they did not go into the toilets at all. We had to clean them twice and still, faced the issue.
4. Unsafe Nights: We were asked to switch off lights and close all windows by 5 PM (In fact that was around the time the caretaker left). They told if the lights are ON, there will be insects. How do you stay without turning On the lights in a closed room and having two toddlers? We managed with the small lights and even with that, there were many insects in the hall and one of the bedrooms. All of us had to shift to one bedroom which was a bit safer.
5. If you are going in your own car, the last 50m (as mentioned on the site) is very steep. In case you are going in a bus, from Vaniperiyar Bus Stand you will need hire a Jeep and that will cost you additional 1000/-. Each time you need to go anywhere you have to call these guys.

This guy is a joker. He asked for the free breakfast as dinner on the previous night. He did not sign the visitors register. Spiteful chap who should not be hosted by decent folks

Very Peaceful at a Misty Mountain
I visited this place this Saturday (April 28th) with two of my friends. We loved everything about the place. The location of the stay, view from the room, their hospitality made this a very memorable stay for us. This place is nearby Vandiperiyar. If you don't have your own vehicle they can arrange you autos and taxis at a very reasonable price. The helper staff Muthu made our a stay a very comfortable one.He can cook for you if you keep them informed n advance or they can order from a restaurant (you need to bare the delivery charges though). Hope you will have a great stay here :)
