Ancient and classic with the Marchese still in charge and has amazing local folk, post office and many stores within 10 minutes away. By car you have endless sites right around the village (like Orvieto, Todi, Perugia) and yet if you want to drive 10 min. down to the train line Rome-Florence and park the car in ALVIANO and train it to all the Italian destinations you want. Maybe for the day (Rome is one hour south) or stay 1 or two nites in bigger cities like Florence or Venice then come back and pick up yur car and go back to your cozy house and village again. Just peace and quiet. Many Etruscan historic sites, incredible food like truffles and wild boar! Great views of countryside and amazing local people, cheap and delicious food and wine at the many 'Sagras' which are the Festivals of local foods and wines all over this region named 'Tuscia'. Thanks and come and eat, drink and play!!!! Life is short! We can help you plan an amazing experience in an Italia many don't see. Thanks, Maurizio e AlexandraMore

About the neighbourhood
Here we sit high on the Lazio's hills 15 minutes North of Viterbo, and 35 minutes South east of Orvieto, looking out at the Umbrian Hills. Rich green countryside and many quaint villages and yet in minutes you can get to the train line that takes you 1 hour south to Rome, or 1 1/2 North to Florence etc. In a car you can be at the largest volcanic lake in Europa named lake Bolsena in 15 min. or further 30 minutes you are at the sea for swimming! There are natural hot springs everywhere, amazing food and wine and festivals to go too. The locals are very cool to be around and will help you whenever they can. Here is paradise and still unknown by most! So come and see and experience the real Italia and it's people in this tiny hilltop village! Train or car about one and a half hours ...
Getting around
It is best with a car for going out to see all the amazing sites . There are buses into the village from Viterbo and Orvieto. The train line is a 15 minute drive from the village, from there you can park your car and go to any destination in Italy.
